Has anyone taken repronex? What were your results with it? My re says that he is going to prescribe it to me, and this is my first time going through infertility treatments. I'm a little nervous and have a lot of questions. My re even suggested that since I have so many questions that I am not ready to undergo treatment!?! If you have any answers or advice for me it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

PJ,

I have never used repronex but I am sure they are using it to help produce follicles for the IUI.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me, this is all very new. I have done some research on the internet, but you really don't know until your in the position. I was really upset when the Re said I would have to go with the injections because I was being lead to believe that I was going to be put on clomid. They said that my levels were too low to be a candidate for clomid.

I was wondering if you know what day of your cycle do you start with the shots? I'm anxious about everything and am just really tired of all these insensitive people who have no clue what it is like to go through infertility. Like saying "if its meant to be" or "it must not be God's plan for you" or "if you just relax it will happen". I wish people would just listen and keep their opinions to themselves unless the have something positive to say.

It's nice to be able to go somewhere to be able to communicate with others that have similar problems as I do. Another thing.... I don't understand all the abbreviations yet, could you help out on some of those? One of them I think was BDF or something like that.

Thanks for your support.

I should start this by saying I am new here, so please forgive me if I haven't used all of the acronyms. I'm still trying to learn them all!!!!

I just completed my 2nd IUI with a clomid/injectable combination. I have done a total of 3 rounds of clomid before this, one of those was with IUI. When my RE told me that he wanted to move to a more "aggressive" method he mentioned injectables. I was under the impression we were skipping the Clomid because obviously, it wasn't doing much.....ok, so what do I know?

I started Clomid CD 5. I took 150 mg for 5 days, then took 150 mg of Bravelle (I believe that they may be in the same family) for 6 days. on CD 16 I took 10,000 IU

Well my RE wants to skip clomid and go straight to the injectables. He obviously doesn't think clomid will help me, so I guess I should be thankful that he doesn't want to waste my time on something he feels won't work. One thing that I am "worried" about is that I've been to that office twice and seen two different drs. This group travels from out of town and takes turns coming. I just hope that they are all on the same page with my treatment.

Hey there,

Repronex is a stimulation injectible. It's used to help you "super-ovulate". I used it as part of my protocol for my first IVF cycle. There's some mixing involved. The Repronex is actually in a powder and you mix it with saline. (You'll get all of these

My RE cautioned me that if I hadn't done treatment before it would be in my best interest to start slow. The reason he said this is that if I produced too many follicles they would have to cancel the cycle. Maybe this is just because I was doing IUI, I don't know for sure. My RE is very conservative because he wants me to get PG but not have a litter as I like to call it (he's happy with 1 or 2, but 3 worry him).

I personally don't think that Clomid was
