How long has your IF journey been so far and what stops have you passed along the way? TTC since 11/05. I was diagnosed with PCOS 8/06 and started Clomid. Took it for two cycles before I just could not deal with it one more minute. I've done 3 IUI cycles with Metformin. BFP in April followed by m/c and D&C in May. I'm currently in limbo because my RE has been on vacation since before my cycle started. ARG!
Favorite Summer Activity: Beach/pool. I love being in the sun. DH has recently taught me to play tennis so that ranks high also.
How long has your IF journey been so far and what stops have you passed along the way? Had inconclusive tests for PCOS or bad advice from my doctor in 2005. Tried to conceive from Sept. to Dec 2006 then stopped when it didn't happen. Had a scare in March (well I was cautiously optimistic that I may have been) until the nurse at my doctor's office told me that with my PCOS (excuse me?) pregnancy was unlikely. Went on BCP shortly after that just so I wouldn't allow myself to get sucked up into any false hope. Stopped BCP due to all of the irregular/mid cycle bleeding. Have accepted my PCOS diagnosis. Not currently TTC, but have decided to seek treatment for PCOS (not BCP) so that when I decide to try again, I won't have such a hard time, hopefully.
Favorite Summer Activity: Going to the beach and pool, cuz I love the sun (I can't swim though, lol), bbq's, and staying up late.
Hi my name is Lizzie. I live in Dallas, TX. DH and I have been TTC for one year about 9 cycles. I have PCOS and don't ovulate by myself :( So for the past 2 cycles I have been on clomid, metformin and an ovidrel injection. It worked the first cycle but this past cycle I had an ovarian torsion. (my tube was twisted 7 yes 7 times!!!!) I had laproscopic surgery last Monday to correct it and they were able to thank goodness with having to remove it. My RE said that it had sustained a little bit of damage but it should be ok, not great. So he actually put me in birth control for the next cycle to help my poor overstimulated ovaries, which I am pretty upset about it, but I know it is for the best. He wants my ovaries to be able to just "chill" for a cycle and then we will start up again with a clean slate!! So that it where I stand about to start darn bc pills and then more meds!! Hopefully this break is just what I needed!! My favorite summer activity is to lay out by a pool with a good book!!! Thanks for reading!
How long has your IF journey been so far and what stops have you passed along the way? Off BCP since late 2004, officially trying since early 2005, moved to RE in March 2006, pregnant in May 2006 naturally and ended as ectopic. Several clomid cycles, then moved on to injectibles. Pregnant again May 2007 after first IUI, but ended as a m/c. This month with be IUI #2.
Favorite Summer Activity Playing with my dog in the backyard.
We have been ttc since March 2006. Tried naturally with charting, OPK and fertility monitors no luck. Started with RE in May 2007. I ovluate but not well, my DH has male factor IF mostly related to morphology which is low at 2% but all other #s are high. I just finished my first cylce of clomid and we had our first IUI yesterday. I had 2 nice and large follies and I triggered on my own, DH had 15 million strong swimmers for the IUI so we are pretty hopeful this will work. Keeping our fingers crossed for the long 2 week wait! I'm new to the board about 3 weeks and have posted only a few times. Thanks to you all for your support and sharing!

We have been off and on trying for over 3 years. Lots of ups and downs along the way. The worst being 2 unsuccessful pg's. But an up is occuring right now, I am finally going to see a RE and am feeling very positive about it! Since I have no insurance for this I have waited hopeing it would happen without an RE but it has not so I am just doing anyway, no matter what it costs me. I guess that's what you have to do when you want to be a mother!
Been TTC since July of 05. In the summer of 06 I had an HSG done and the dr. said my left tube was blocked. Started clomid for three months...no luck. One month of estrogen, clomid, progesterone cocktail...no luck. Recently switched doctors to one who specializes in IF but isn't an RE. He wants another HSG done because he said the first one was a shotty job. I've been on pain meds for about 4 months during AF due to severe cramps. I'm suspecting some endo, but we'll see.
Since I'm in education, my favorite summer activity is sleeping in (well, 7:30) and lounging around drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. I also love to read, camp, and be in the sun. I love laying out, but it's rained here all summer! :(
