Hi my name is Anna DH and I have been ttc for 2+ years... Im an active member on the iui board but since we really dont know what were going to do next, thought I would come over here.

We've done 3 iui's ,2 with clomid and one with injectables. The 1st one worked but we didnt get a positive beta until it was to late in my cycle and my lining was to thin so we m/c... We took a month of to try and recover emotionally and did another that didnt work, and we just finished with the injectables cycle and af showed today... So needless to say Ive been on the couch with oreos and kleenex most of the day.

Our next step is having a laparoscopy to see if I have anything going on... everything else has came back ok. Any one have any advice on laparoscopy? I really did want to do it and have been putting it off for a year after this cycle was a bust I figure we better.

Well thanks for letting me introduce myself

Anna

Hi Anna,

I already know you from the IUI board :) but I wanted to say hi and welcome you over here as well. I come here a lot too and this is a wonderful and supportive group of women. I hope the lap is able to help you figure out what's wrong, if anything is, and get you the child you so deserve.

Take care,
Reba

Hey Reba! So I after reading jessica's post about getting a bfp, I got a ton of hope that maybe we should keep trying iui... I feel like I have multiple personalities!! First I want to do a lap, then adopt, then ivf and now iui again... Wow this roller coaster never stops... I talked to my nurse today and she told me she thinks

Hi Anna,

Yeah I do yoga too! Not fertility yoga though, just regular. It's nice and relaxing and I do only very basic stuff (i am not very flexible at all!). I too was inspired by Jessica's BFP! I just love hearing success stories with any type of IF treatment! I feel exactly the same way where I will sway back and forth between continuing IUI, moving on to IVF, knowing when to give up on biological children and adopt. For the last couple months I've been feeling good about IUI. I think we will give a few more of them a try before moving on to IVF.

By the way, I had my b/w and u/s this morning and while the Clomid did its trick (I grew 2 nice big follies and much faster than I normally grow 1), my lining is pretty thin according to the tech. Bummer! I'm waiting to see what my doctor says this afternoon...fingers crossed that it's not too thin (it's only 5.2mm). :(

2 follies sound great! What cd are you on? I hope it will be ok ... can they give you some progesterone to thicken it up?

Keep positive thoughts : )

Hi Anna,

Thanks for hoping for me. :) Today is CD11 and my big follies were 17 and 19mm. My lining was only 5.2mm. I normally ovulate around CD18 so this seems really early for me to have such huge follies. I have a short luteal phase so I take progesterone suppositories (fun fun) everyday after the IUI anyway. I'm trying to be hopeful but it's getting pretty late in the day and I know that isn't the best sign when I'm waiting for the doctor to call...

Hi Anna,

Thank you again for your good thoughts. :) My doctor did call and we are still on. I actually have 3 nice big follies! Sometimes I am out of it at 7am when I have my u/s so I don't catch everything they say. ;) They did say my lining is pretty thin, but not quite thin enough to cancel the cycle. hooray! I did the HCG shot last night and the IUI is tomorrow.
