I wish I knew of some options for you, health insurance is a hot button issue for me right now (especially after just receiving another rate increase notice...grrr...) Totally stinks that they barely cover anything and the amount you have to pay for it. I know that some REs have shared risk programs that can be cheaper in the long run, but it's still really expensive.

Is your only option IVF at this point?

Have you tried asking one of your employers to add it?  I did and it worked for me.  I had to play a little hard ball by getting another job offer first.  My intention was actually to move to a nearby state that has an IF insurance mandate.  I was prepared to move there because my employer had said no and we need IVF.  They changed their mind when they found out it was a deal breaker for me.  All they can say is no.

You might also consider moving to a mandated state or explore other employers in your area to see if they cover it.  I know where I live, the state employees have coverage.

God luck!

I also asked my employer (sent a letter to HR from the resolve.com website) but they denied it. Certainly worth a shot! I work at a large hospital. We ended up getting a loan through a credit union.
