TTC@45 - Miracles do happen...

Hi there - I just found this site and am thankful for it!! I am a 45 year old healthy woman, married for the 2nd time just over 2 years ago. I have a 22 year old daughter from my first marriage.
My husband and I would like to get pregnant... I am a believer and know that all things are possible with Him, yet I have seen so many statistics that point to the relative scarcity of success in cases like mine.
On the one hand, I feel like I should leave it in God's hands and know that His plan for our marriage will prevail, and on the other hand, I want to jump in and try like crazy to make a baby with this man! I am definitely conflicted.
Your thoughts, comments and prayers will be greatly appreciated!

Jenna - thanks!
I looked up the abbreviations since I hadn't known what AF was...
I think I confused matters - I didn't have a pos OPK on the 24th - I just purchased the kit the day I had my pap (23rd), expecting to use it this next time (in September), as I thought it was too late this time, since AF was scheduled to start on 8/24. (I am pretty sure I O'ed on Aug 9th or 10th, so the kit would be useless until the next projected O in September (considering the cycle time, etc...), right?)
So... here I am, waiting for who-knows-what.
PS - I am going through all of the lessons and tests on this site - they are great! I just completed test #12, so I am getting educated!!)
Thanks again for the support!
Hi there, just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world. Also, for a bit of positivity, my mum's friend is 7 months pregnant and she's 46 so these things can happen.
What's the plan then in your circumstances? Do you try on your own for a while and see what happens or what?

Well, AF just visited this morning, so I guess I just don't know anything about this body of mine, after all.
I did read an excellent passage today, which just 'happened' to be the daily devo that comes up on my pda, and it says:
"Trust the Lord with all you heart,
and don't depend on your own understanding" ~ Pro 3:5
Well, since apparently I have NO understanding whatsoever, I am thinking that this is a good Proverb to keep in mind.
Shanna - that's great about your Mum's friend - did she do anything special or just naturally become pg? I intend to try the natural way - apparently my DH has a sperm count and motility issue that our OB/GYN is going to have looked into, and who knows what my FSH will really be on day 3 (which I will not be able to check this time since I am out of town and nowhere near anywhere that they can test it under my medical plan). I am hoping that our good Lord has a baby planned for us in the future (and not too far out, as I am getting up there for conception...)
Thanks for the encouragement!! And my God bless your endeavors!
So sorry to hear that af arrived this morning (((HUGS))))! Its bad enough when it comes when your not ttc let alone when you are!
As to my mums friend, as far as I am aware it happened naturally but after a year or so and a miscarriage beforehand which was devastating for her as she had been trying for so long and thought that that was her only chance, espeically as it took a while after that to conceive again.
Good luck on your next cycle.
