Ultrasound #3

Hi everybody -

Well, I am finally feeling a little better about things. As per the subject line, I had my 3rd ultrasound today. The babies are both still there - and are now measuring essentially the same size. A huge relief. Also, we could pretty clearly see 2 amniotic sacs. Another huge relief. Their heartbeats are right where they should be. The final huge relief.

I have been released to my regular OB - I will see her in a week. I will still have to have frequent ultrasounds b/c the babies are sharing the placenta...but finally, I feel OK enough to say that things are going well. They are actually both measuring a little bit bigger than average. I guess they have liked all the protein and milk I have been downing the past week.

Thanks so much for all the support - after the Dr. left the exam room...I was so relieved that I cried. My poor husband. So, I am feeling so much better - and I really didn't even realize how worried I was until I got some good news. It's crazy what we do to ourselves isn't it?

Yey!!!! I am so happy that the babies are doing good. I bet that was one big sigh of relief. I would also have been crying my eyes out. Wishing you a H&H9M.

Hi Ladies -

Thanks for the good wishes. I am just really starting to get a little bit excited about this...up until now, I haven't really even thought about REALLY having these babies much at all. Just going from appointment to appointment and doing my best to not let myself get invested. So, even though I am still kind of a little bit of a wet blanket and worried...I am starting to think that I might really have a decent chance of taking these two home with us in the fall. It will have taken almost 3 years to get there, but I am thinking that maybe we'll get there. It's just plain crazy. So, thanks for listening...I'm definitely going to be lurking around and still commenting some too. I want to see everybody have their own successes - we all deserve it.
