Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience with a low AMH level. I was reading a lot about the test (which my RE never suggested) - my Day 3 FSH was 6.5, but I requested to have this done through another doctor. The result was very low, 0.42. I'm very worried now about the IVF cycle and feel I should prepare myself that I probably wont "respond"

I had this done last fall before doing my first IVF cycle and my doctor just repeated it last week (I still don't have the results).

A little about my journey: Me (Kim) 37 DH (Mark) 44 - Married Jan 2007. TTC for 3 years in June. Endometriosis found in September of 2009 and treated. Used Clomid for 4 months before endometriosis was found and 2 months after. AGE SUCKS!!! 1st I

Hi Anj,

I chose the IVF route after learning that my AMH was also very low (0.4), and my FSH was high, which pointed to my dx of diminished ovarian reserve.

Macy (39), DH Paul (42). Diagnosed with low ovarian reserve. IVF #1 in 2009, lucky BFP, DS born in 2010. IVF #2 in 2011: started Follistim/microdose ovidril/ganirelix in late April/early May, antagonist protocol. ER on 5/11, 13 eggs retreived, 5 fert

My clinic always took 3 scores into account,

I had two AMH tests, one came back at 1.1 and one at 5.1.

This is SO reassuring, thank you to everyone. I was really concerned because my RE didnt order this test, I had read about it and asked my primary care physician to order it. I wish that I hadn't, now, because it has me really concerned about this cycle. But then, my FSH numbers were reasonable at 6 and 8.2 a few months apart.

Was the DHEA prescribed by your RE because of low ovarian reserve or was that something you did on your own?
