Had my first u/s today... I counted about 15 follies, measuring anywhere from 4 to 10. My meds are staying the same at 3 vials of repronex... I like that, I like consistency!! Lol! Back on Monday for another ultrasound! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! :)

Had my ultrasound and my right side is ready to go but left side is not! I dont have exact measurements but I have 8 or 9 really big ones (19-21) on the right side but then on the left side I only have 4 or 5 smaller ones 14-19. She said left side says wait a day, right side is good to go! She also said the ultrasound tech could have missed one or two because they are on top of each other and its hard to make sure you get them all. So she's expecting around 11 eggs maybe more based on current measurements. So they wanted to wait for my estrodil levels before decided ER date.

Jennifer thank you for posting about your follies. I started panicking wondering if my follies are too small as I had only one at 10. We're having our next ultrasound together. I am sending follow growing vibes to you and hopefully well have er on the same day.
Net angel- congrats on your er. How exciting. Your eggs are growing fast. Let us know how it goes. And thanks for the helpful hints for our dh. They will never understand the pain and sacrifice.

Elizabeth N - had to tell DH about the testicle comment...we actually got into an argument last time about how big my ovaries really were! Great news that everything looks so good! Keeping my fingers crossed that the right side catches up!!! Elizabeth A - my follies were a little slow to start too...they told me steady growth is good!! AFM - all looked good today!! There is one on the left that is the right size to trigger but most are a bit too small. I asked how many there were and she answered " a lot...this is a great response!". I was so happy I didnt even push for what a lot meant. Waiting for my call about any med changes. Out of curiosity, how many of you are planning for assisted hatching? We did not do it last time but plan to this time. My RE did say they would only do it if they were day 3 embryos but that doesn't make sense to me. Plan to ask her about it before transfer. I had 2 "perfect" 8 cells last time on day 3 so I do wonder if there is some sort of implantation issue that AH might correct...but I don't want to second guess the doc. The other decision is, if there are a fair number of embryos left and we go to day 5, do I implant 1 or 2? Last cycle I would have said 1 without hesitation. Second time around, I just want it to work!!! I am scared about the risks of multiples. So much to think about!!!!!

Tess - I signed a thing that allowed the embryologists to use assisted hatching if necessary. But the doctor says its rarely used, only like 3x in the past year. She says she leaves it up to the embryolosts to decide so I'm not sure what their criteria is. If your doctor is saying it would help I would definitely give it a shot. I cant help on the 1 vs 2 transfer. With me I have no choice really, but we really want just a one transfer but in order to have that we have to have one excellent or good 5 day blast. If we have a 3 day transfer we have to transfer 2 and if its not good or excellent we have to transfer 2. If we have 2 excellents or goods we will have a choice and our current choice is 1 due to being scared of multiples as well. But if this was our 2nd IVF I'd seriously consider 2. Good luck on your decision.

As for me, trigger is tonight at 11pm and ER is Tuesday at 9:30am! I'm kind of scared but also excited too I guess. I think the left side is catching up to my right since its kind of bothersome today. Here's hoping for lots of eggs!

Elizabethaguilar - slow and steady always works for me. Even my dr said its still early - so they have plenty of time to grow. The ultrasound tech normally doesn't tell me quantity or sizes, I was just lucky on Saturday and my RE did the ultrasound so I was able to get more info from him. I probably wont find out much more info on monday, they'll tell me more info when I'm ready to trigger.

As far as Assited Hatching goes,... Because we have such issues with the sperm we usually only get 2, maybe 3 embryos at the end of the day (and that's with 12 eggs or so), so we always use ICSI with assisted hatching..
