Elizabeth,

I am pretty fortunate to have a good boss, but this is still something pretty intimate to tell, so the first couple of times, I said that I had to have "some tests" that had to be done at with particular timing as it was a "female thing." That gave them a heads up that I would be out for a day or two and wouldn't know until last minute. The last cycle, I had to drive the 3+ hours to the clinic for monitoring, so I was missing a half day for a lot of days in a row, so I broke down and told him. He was very understanding, even told me that he and his ex-wife had been about to start looking into it before their marriage ended.

Hi 2dads! Welcome! We're here to support IVFer's, so sure, you belong. :)

I replied on your other post, too. Sounds like you have had quite a journey so far. I hope that this cycle will finally bring success your way. Just curious, is there a reason for changing surrogates?

It's always a good feeling to 'belong'

The only reason for the change on surrogates was that our clinic felt it better to keep on changing. Don't know about that? This is our last frozen cycle left wit our donor's eggs. If thongs don't work out now, we'll change donors. Then the whole game plan changes again...hopefully for the better.

BUT; here's hoping for today's transfer and success!

Hey ladies and 2dads!!! Any new dates for our chart??

AFM: 2nd day of stims (it was pushed back to 4/8 to give my cycle time to start). Not toooo bad. But its kinda frustrating trying to get it perfect. I don't wanna mess this up in any way!!

I won't know when I start stims til I get my period which I won't get til I stop bcp which I won't do until Saturday. I am hoping one day next week...20th being the latest.

Hope your transfer went well dadsx2!! Did you decide if you're going to have your surrogate rest a few days or not?

Meanwhile it turns out I may have to do ICSI even with DS. I emailed my clinic to ask what kind of count they needed for regular IVF because I'd rather buy extra donor sperm rather than pay for ICSI out of pocket but apparently they have all these criteria for regular ivf like 85% motility and a certian speed etc. And my usual donor usually has 60% motility after thaw but his counts are awesome and so is the progression so there is hope they can still do regular IVF but I dont meet the basic criteria she listed. She said the decision is made the day of retrieval and they'd let me know. But its $1300 for ICSI 100% out of pocket if its donor sperm. DH and I are considering using some of his guys if we have to do ICSI because then its covered 80% (unless they charge separately). But at the same time we don't want to risk the issues with his meds and his condition either so who knows. I'm glad I found out about it now rather than day of ER. Oh and my clinic only uses ICSI 47% of the time so I am surprised their criteria is so supposedly so strict.

Hi April group! I just wanted to cheer you all on and spread a little baby dust. Last year I was part of a truly magical April group where the majority of us got BFPs! My little bean was conceived on April 13 and just born on December 17, 2011 (as states in my siggy), so I am just misty-eyed remembering the crazy of ER, ET, and the 2ww! And really, the crazy and nail-biting of IVF in general!!! Best of luck to you all. Sending you all positive thoughts, wishes, and prayers! (BTW, 2dads... I am a firm believer that rest and being off your feet for at least two days is key. I was off my feet for a week!)
About me: Sheri 35, DH 42, happily married 16 years, 3 furbabies TTC#1 since forever, MFI (complications from Type 1 Diabetes) December, February IUIs cancelled. One thing after another. March IVF stopped for uterine polyps (my turn to have something
