I've decided I would tell my boss I'm having a female procedure that is dependent on my cycle and bloodwork results so I won't know exact date until a day or two before and then the follow up is 3-5 days later depending on how things go. I am waiting until AF arrives so I can tell them exact date of when the bloodwork will start. I figure that's vague yet specific enough to cover things and since he's male he likely won't ask questions. If he does I will tell him but only if he directly asks. I am hoping at least one of my dates falls on a weekend since I have to use vacation time or if it has to be a weekday I hope its a Friday so i can actual rest a day or two after. I really wish I could take a week off but I can't. Oh well, at least I sit at a desk.

The nurse called me earlier this afternoon to tell me she's going to be faxing my meds to 4 different pharmacies. I need to call them to find out pricing and which one I'm going with..... Jesus Christ! but the cheapest pharmacy will still cost about $3500! And I just checked my insurance claims, I have Aetna, which suck, but in all honestly is better than having nothing I guess... I have claims totaling $1200 coming my way... and am just starting! Are these people just trying to make money on our maternal instincts? Sorry, I guess I have sticker shock.

I know what you mean about meds. How does your insurance work? by percentage? I actually used an OUT of network pharmacy because it was alot cheaper than in network so the 30% out of network copay was less than 20% of an in-network. Had to pay it all out of pocket regardless and then got a check from insurance for my percentage after that (had to meet deductible too first but that was mainly paid from IUIs).
The price of all this is outrageous. It will all be worth it if it works but if it doesn't I will be even more devastated that we are in debt (we took out a loan) and no baby. It's so not fair.

Hello everyone!!! I am trying to minimize my time on the boards so I don't obsess like last time around (thought about nothing but IVF and constantly had iPhone refreshing...not so good for my mental health). I do want to stay connected though and stay on the chart for April!! Sounds like a lot of us are in a similar place. Tonight is day 2 of lupron. Take last OCP Sunday night then wait for AF.
As to work, I told several people, including those who keep an eye on my schedule.. Thankfully, almost everyone is really tactful about it. I think it would be harder if I worked with a lot of men.
FX this is our cycle!!!

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement and well wishes. I just got word today that I will be on the micro lupron protocol. I'm not really sure how that's different from the long lupron protocol other than the dosage of lupron. Does anyone know if its any different? Anywho, I have to wait for my next period to start and the OCP again. I really wish that I could skip that step.

Elizabeth - IVF is an art not a science every RE has their own method of doing things. Not every RE has girls even take ocps/bcps. Even within their practice there are several different protocols so perhaps you are on a protocol using different drugs. I think the bcp/lupron/stim drugs is the most common protocol but there are tons out there. Does your clinic have good success rates? I would trust your doctor. I doubt he forgot anything he just has you on a protocol fit for YOU. Your situation is much different than most of ours (i think) as you've had kids and you had tubes tied, I don't know how that effects things but I'm sure it does. Sounds like we might be stimming at the same time if AF arrives quickily. :) Good luck and baby dust!!

juanamomma -I am not an expert but I think micro lupron just means a smaller dose or you dont take it as long.
