Come on down...November Cyclers!!!

Hello ladies,
What are you doing leading up to your cycle? I have to wait a couple AF's after a chemical pregnancy. Which is fine because I would like to lower my BMI by 25 lbs.

I am on day 3 of BCP and so far not noticing any side effects and hopefully it stays that way. I recently started retaking my prenatal vitamins and that is causing a bit of nausea and I think it is because I am not eating enough while taking the vitamins. I also hate that the pills are so big and have a nasty aftertaste when I swallow them.
I received a packet in the mail with some info on my IVF cycle. DH & I still need to take the IVF class where they show you how to mix and give the medicine.
If my TSH goes down then I will be doing....
Oct 31: Last day of BCP
Nov 1: Baseline ultrasound and blood work
Nov 3: Begin 225 units Follistim between 5 PM and 8 PM.
Nov 7: Follow-up ultrasound. May have 4-6 ultrasounds in the next 10 days.
Nov 8: Begin Ganirelix
Things are starting to seem more real now. I had my first acupuncture appt yesterday and it was very relaxing. She put needles on the tops of my feet, legs, stomach and a few around my ears. I think I might have fallen alseep laying there. I really hope it works.
I am working out the pharmacy angle. At first I thought my insurance would cover the progesterone but it will only cover in pill format and I think it is something different. Darn. I was getting my hopes up. It will be all out of pocket. Shocker!!!!!
Christy, so excited we will be so close. I'm also so happy you didn't have the BCP headache I had. It only lasted about 3 days but was a bit brutal.
Here is my tentative schedule:
Oct 16: start Lupron
Oct 22: last day of BCP
Oct 26: baseling u/s and bloodwork
Oct 29: begin Follistim and Menopur(haven't gotten dosage yet)
Nov 8-10: ER will be one of these days and then 3-5 days later ET.

Christy- Yay for having a schedule!! Sorry you have to pay out of pocket. Did you sign up for all of no insurance programs? I found a few while I was searching but you must have no insurance. I can't think of them all right now but I know one was with Walgreens.
Jamie-Yay for your schedule too!

I was really happy about AF all day before getting the mail despite having horrendous cramps. I kept telling myself 'hopefully this will be the last bad AF for the next 10+ months' lol since i've heard the one after bcp/lupron is really light and if you aren't watching for it you may miss it.

This is the second time typing this and it better work this time..... ARG..........
Christy, that is weird you are on a different protocol. Surely they have a reason, but I would definitely ask. Awesome about your antral follicle thing. I've never been tested for that (that I know of).
Also, my RE told me they would likely do half my eggs naturally and half with ICSI (as long as we have enough). He said that we way we are ensured that at least half will definitely be fertilized but the natural ones sometimes look better (as long as they fertilize). Just on a side note...in my mind I always thought of ICSI as being spelled out I.C.S.I. when you talk about it but my RE pronounces it Ick-see...learn something new everyday!
I've heard a lot about taking steroids to help implantation. Are you guys scheduled to take them. My RE didn't mention it but I definitely want to talk to him about it at my next visit.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about not being on lupron. It looks like you've done several IUIs. Perhaps they learned something about how you respond in those and feel you'd do better on the Ganirelix, or maybe your doctor prefers it. Who knows.
That is great that you have so many antral follicles! :) I had 27 when they checked which is the same category of you, normal. :)
You should ask if they do any 'rescue' if the natural IVF doesn't work. I've heard some clinics do that. They give the sperm x amt of time and if they don't fertilize the egg they intervene and do ICSI. Its worth a shot to ask if you can't decide.
I agree about the IVF journey already being stressful. Hopefully it will ease once we get started (faster anyway). :)

Jamie: I did ask the IVF nurse about Medrol (suppose to help with implantation). She was saying that there are no definite studies saying that it works or something like that. I will be meeting with my
