Hello ladies,

What are you doing leading up to your cycle? I have to wait a couple AF's after a chemical pregnancy. Which is fine because I would like to lower my BMI by 25 lbs.
Me 34 DH 50 Sept 2007 failed VR November 2008 2nd failed VR April 2009 failed TESA 4% motility with none to use after freeze. DH massive infection post-op two rounds of antibiotics. Set for first IVF cycle with fresh TESA and Donor back-up; ER July 13

Christy- Medrol is on my list of meds. I wasn't sure what it was for. I also have tetracycline and tylenol with codiene (i assume those for after the retrieval). I am going to a university clinic too (University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic) and my doc is a clinical associate professor too. :) I would think they'd be very knowledgeable on what works and what doesnt. But I think alot of stuff with IVF is just doc's personal preference and what they've seen in personal experience on what has worked and what hasn't.

The doc who wrote my latest letter is different from my usual doc so that is what makes me think its a form letter. I sure hope I get that cleared up tomorrow. Then I will set up my meds visit with IVF nurse. I hope its soon!

Elizabeth: You are right. i think we both have great REs. From all the reading I have done, I don't think there is one right way to do IVF and different doctors do different things. Hopefully we all get our BFPs.

Wow that seems like a lot to stress over! I'm happy for your dates, your kind of right in the middle of the two cycles. I could not imagine having med stress on top of everything else. I'm in Canada so it's taken care of already and there is a pharmacy at the clinic. Plus our jobs pay up to 10k a year each for meds. Are thinking about moving yet? Hang in there. My DH hasn't had a SA for several years so I don't remember how to read them. If they can take a single non moving testicular sperm and ICSI it then you should do fine! Our last ICSI we needed donor back up too in case no testicular sperm.

I hope your unsurance pulls through so you don't have that stress!

First, can I say how jealous I am that you guys insurance covers at least part of IVF!!! My insurance only covers diagnosis...and nothing else for IF. No meds, no IUI, no IVFs...blah! Oh well, if it works it will be completely worth it! I am applying for a compassionate care program that would supply the Gonal-F, but not sure if I will qualify.

Elizabeth, you start stims the day before me!! We will be super close. I think that still makes us Nov. cyclers...at least I really want to stay with this group. I'm really enjoying this group!

I looked at my BCPs this morning and already two weeks down. Come on IVF and get here! Only 4 1/2 weeks til stims.

Shel-Yeah I am in Iowa and it is cold enough here. lol Its been in the 50s low 60s here for the past week almost. I am already freezing. We had an entire month where the windchill didn't get above 0F It was NOT fun.

No bcp side effects yet. I am only on day 3 though. I don't think I ever had issues before though. I switched around alot but that was only because drs promised bcp would help with my cramps and they did NOT. lol I did do depo once a few times and it made my depression way worse.

Ugh, bad day yesterday. One of my best friends told me she was pg. They have been trying for a year and I'm super happy for them...BUT it really brought back a lot of feelings from my first BFP/ectopic and to be really honest I'm really damn jealous! I really envy people who get pg "easily" without having to spend thousands upon thousands

Sorry Jamie. My best friend just had a baby with a guy she's not even with so there's lots of drama.
Since I started ttc my sister had an oopsie pregnancy, bf was pregnant 2x (only one to term) and countless cousins who are my age are younger have had 1 or 2 kids or are currently pregnant with a 2nd or 3rd... It's just not fair!!

I hope we all get our BFP for the best Christmas present ever! :)
