Cycling in June?

I graduated to IVF after another failed IUI. In fact, I'm waiting for AF to arrive and she's not cooperating. I stopped taking the progesterone supplements 5 days ago and all I've done is a little spotting yesterday. Anyway, as soon as she gets it together I can start the BCPs on CD3. I'm more than a little scared of this but since we really decided to take this plunge, I'm eager to get going! We've been TTC for 3 years and have had one m/c...I'm ready for a triumph!

BCPs for 21 days (I guess?) and then on to lupron. Who's with me?

Well it looks like my ER will be 6/15 or 6/16. I have only 7 follies I think that are measuring over 10mm right now. She said they should be good quality, but "I'm glad we're doing this now. If you came back at 40 I may not have been able to help you." Yikes! So I stay at the highest dose of stims and am now on the ganirelex as well to suppress ovulation. I have an appt Monday am, but have yet to get a couple hours of my shift covered. Hopefully I can do that.
GL tomorrow Sarah!!
Lauren, are you feeling better now?

Lauren, I'm glad you were able to lose weight. I tried, but it just wasn't coming off. My clinic has said that the success rates are better in women of normal weight. I'm glad donor embryos did the trick for you, I will admit when I fill out all those forms I am a bit nervous of giving any excess to another couple, there are just so many unknowns. On the other hand, I know how bad this sucks and helping others is always good.

I did accupuncture last cycle, it was great. Hope it helps you, I know it always helped me relax!

My guess is they will get 40ish. At ultrasound I had greater than 25 follicles on one side and greater than 30 follicles on the other. It's the up (and) downside of PCOS... there should be lot of eggs, but fert rates and development will likely be low.

Quality over quantity! I'm sure they will be great!

GL today, Sarah!! I hope you're not too crampy/uncomfortable to come back and tell us how it went!

While we wait, here's a couple questions: Anyone else having to use two trigger shots? I wonder what the significance of that is. I'm not overweight. Also: Anyone else's RE having them wait until 17dpt to get a beta? That just seems excessive and a little cruel to me.

Glad you are feeling better, Lauren, and hope you get home today!
Sarah, I second the hope for feeling the best you can post-transfer and hope they get lots of quality eggies from you!
Chouli, I also have 2 trigger shots ordered. I guess I thought it was normal for IVF vs. IUI, but maybe it's just different clinics' protocol, like Lauren said. I was just looking over the med plan list for my cycle again and wondering why I had two triggers to do. I guess to make sure every egg that can mature for ER, does? I don't know when the beta will be yet, it says they'll tell me at my ER when my 1st beta will be and then if positive, they will do an u/s 3 weeks later. I worked all night last night and am staying up to take my ganirelex shot close to the same time as yesterday. The couple I worked with last night have struggled longer than I have with IF, adopted a child a couple years ago and got surprisingly preggo 9 months ago! I love positive ending stories like that! Gives me hope! Now I'm off til my appt Monday and wishes I had more to occupy my mind. How are the rest of you doing with your waits. I can't imagine how I'll feel next weekend when I'm waiting day to day to find out how the little embies are doing!
I don't know why they'd make you wait 17dpt because that's like 3 weeks out! At least it should be a definate positive at that point, but that is cruel!

I am glad everyone is well today! Only good things on this board!

Got the call this afternoon that my u/s looked good. Last BCP tonight, shots start Monday, b/w on Wednesday morning. I'm so excited to get going.
