December Cycle

Sat, 10-22-2011 - 5:17pm

Anyone else out there doing a cycle in December? We have 1 frozen embryo that we have decided to go ahead and try to transfer. It was frozen from the cycle which we received our DS from. He is currently 14 months old (will be 15 months on Monday). Our frozen anniversary date is 12/16 so if we use the embryo before then we don't have to pay for a whole year of freezing again. I am scheduled for a HSN on Friday 10/28 and will then begin Lupron. I began BCP last night. They are guessing that the FET will be the first week of December. Praying that this cycle works for us so we can have a Christmas BFP. We do have 2 fresh cycles left also that insurance will cover so we have back up. I've been dying to start the FET earlier, but I'm the matron of honor in my best friend's wedding in May and didn't want to be too pregnant. Wishing everyone else lots of luck!

Me: 29 (PCOS) DH: 32 (Poor Morphology & Low Count)

IVF #1 – December 2008 – BFN

IVF #2 – February 2009 – BFP but ends in early miscarriage

FET #1 – March/April 2009 – BFN

IVF #3 – December 2009 – BFP – Expect

Oops... thinking follicles and wrote eggs. I hope all 5-6 follicles have good eggs!

HCG trigger done at 10:00 last night, and I'm getting excited/anxious for ER tomorrow morning. DH did the cutest thing to celebrate... He came home from work with a bouquet of 5 white roses - 1 for each follie! (We're being conservative and going with the smaller number.) The card had two birds snuggled in a nest, and he took a pen and drew 5 little dots under the female bird's right wing - since all my follies are on my right ovary. So cute!

Jenni:

Thinking of you today!!! Keep us posted on how things go! I have my fingers and toes Crossed for you!! Pong...Hope you are staying busy duringyour wait....you are PUPO (Pregnant until proven otherwise!!).

I had my U/S....my lining is Perfecto...according to the RE. They prefer a triple striped lining that is at LEAST 7MM. Mine was a fat and happy 11.......plenty of cushion for those embies to nestle in! So far..looks like about 18 follies......possibly more and maybe less if a few of them get TOO big!

They gave me shorter needles for the progesteron shots.......because they were worried that the 1 1/2 gauge ones would hit bone! Nice....Thanks. LOL. I am tall....5-9...but just about 116lbs soaking wet...and my hips and tailbone area are sort of "boney" as the Doc put it..... So hopefuuly..the smaller needles will help ease the 4 million progesterone shots I see in my future...LOL

Lindz - glad to hear everything is going well...

My ER is tomorrow am, yesterday I had about 16 measurable follicles so let's hope we get the most eggs tomorrow!!! I thought the injection phase would be the tough part, but now I'm really dreading the wait, it's going to be the longest 2 week wait!
