Hello February Buds here's the latest...I had my baseline IVF appt. and a meeting about my meds schedule. This is a lot more complicated than a few evenings worth of follistim like it was for IUI! Shots morning and night. Mixing etc. I left with two huge bags of meds and supplies.
Now of course there is always a hurdle. No cysts thankfully but they have to be certain my estrogen is low enough so I'm waiting for blood test results. The next two weeks should be interesting...scary...exciting... -Pix
How did you get over feeling scared about the acupuncture needles? they are so tiny but if I twitched just a little I would get a twinge that I could feel that would scare me. not relax me (obviously) I really wish I could do it. I think it is actually covered on my insurance.
Pix - I'm not going to lie - some points will "sting" a little more than other specifically when she does my feet and if I flex, I feel it, but otherwise it's not really noticable. I am a needle phobe (I pretty much pass out with a blood draw) and have no problem with acupuncture needles - like Chris said, they are so tiny that you don't even notice. I tend to fall alseep every time and love the warmth of the heat lamp that she'll put on either my feet or over my stomach. If it is covered by insurance - I would at least go and have a consult and talk to them. Make sure that it is a fertility acupuncturist - if you just go to a general pain management one, they won't hit a lot of the stomach/fertility points... GL and KUP!
Chris - sounds like a boring, yet productive plan for your day off - I unfortunately have to work. :smileysad:
I had my saline sonogram and trial test transfer on Thursday with the RE... Said everything looks good and had three follies on my right and two on my left so let's just hope when we start stimulating in February that they play and bring a few more friends along... DH was out of town so had a mini meltdown right before the appt. I wasn't nervous about the procedures because I know they are nothing, it was just the emotional part of "we are going down the IVF path" which I said I would never do. I'm 100% on board for IVF, but just never thought I would need to be here. It is what it is, things will happen as they should and I just need to breath.
How's everyone else doing? Pix - did you start your meds yet?

Hello Ladies
I too am starting an IVF cycle in February, a FET transfer.

--Took time to regroup and save money to do another cycle.
