Keep the faith....you are so young and better things ARE ahead for you!! In YOUR case...because you don;t seem to yield a HIGH number of eggs and your reserve is low...I MAY ask your RE (Dr.)....to consider assited hatching before they transfer your embies. I know I am WAY older than you...but we have used assisted hatching each time and got BFP!
Also...did you take Medrol or Prednisone before your transfer? Steroids help with implantation. Please talk to your RE about other patients your age with similar issues.....there may be other protocols you could follow.
Even though you are younger...have you and DH considered...or talked about using Donor eggs? The egg quality and quantity would be MUCH higher, and you would likly have embies to freeze...so FET's (Frozen Transfers) would be possible..versus attempting IVF too many times. Keep an open mind...... After having Babies with MY eggs....we are now in a cycle with Donor eggs...because I no longer TRUST my eggs. Our last IVF...we got 17 eggs.....got PG...but had a miscarriage. The rest of the eggs...15 of them...arrested. So I SUSPECTED it was a bad batch of eggs. We can't keep spending THIS KIND OF money if my eggs don;t want to "play nice".....
Good luck and Join the December Group!! I am in that group *december cyclers)........ We can support you and be here for you whenever y need!
Happy you found our little group!
First of all, I'm not sure how to reply to each of the people who replied to my post! Is this doing it?
Secondly - each of your responses mean so much to me - I somehow feel so full of hope after reading even these few responses! I can't believe how much better this already makes me feel. My husband is a doctor (pulmonology) so he understands the meds and numbers way better than I do, but I was on medrol and something else (gonal-f?) as the stimulants (I think?) - one of the problems was that they found "mature" follicles that didn't end up actually having mature eggs in them. I think it went like this: 9 mature follicles, 5 actually mature eggs in them, 3 got fertilized, only 1 looked good enough to transfer, but barely... and it didn't work.
It sounds like your meds may have been....Menopur WITH gonal-F?? My cycles have all been with Menopur/Follistim (Same as Gonal-F..just different maunfacturer), Then of course the Antagon (Ganirilex) to keep from ovulating....and Ovidrel to trigger ovulation before the retrieval. We have ALWAYS done a 5-day transfer to ensure we are transferring the BEST eggs.
Listen....don;t feel guilty. It does NO Good. In my case my eggs are old and crusty...but my hubbies sperm Dn;t swim straight and are incapable of penetrating an egg. So we are both at fault. But..who cares...then end result benefits BOTH of you..... and so it IS both of your issue.
The first IVF...we chaged to Mastercard. That was the triplets (One healthy Baby)... The second IVF was charged to Discover...... Got pregnant but Miscarried at 8 weeks. THIS cycle that I am IN now (December transfer and group...).... Took out a Medical Financing loan. Suffice to say.....I have credit card..ON loan babies. And when we get out tax returns...we pay off the loans/Cards. It isn't ideal......or easy. But WORTH it. Even if it doesn;t succeed, We are PAYING for peace of mind...that we tried everythng and have no regrets!!
Although I am starting to understand what a needle addicted Crack Ho feels like...... I don't have track marks in my gut or butt!! My name is Lindsay...."I'm addicted to IVF. It has been 2.5 years since I last tried life without IVF..... and it's a bumpy ride...but WORTH the price of admission so far!
Here is the link to the december group..... Not much going on there YET...but soon!
