Gearing up for 1st IVF

Hi All, My name is Holly. I'm 36 and have been trying to get pregnant for about 10 years. We've tried drug therapy, but obviously that hasn't worked. I had ovarian surgery in my 20s, so my egg reserve is very, very low. The doc says that IVF is my best shot, so we are going to go for it.

Diagnosed with/surgically removed endometrioma Aug 2010. Sept IUI #1=BFN. Nov IUI #2=BFN. Uterine polyp removed Jan. 2011. Jan 2011 IVF cancelled. No response. 2nd

Thanks for the reply Chris. I have been doing a lot of research since my initial post and I think I'm going to go ahead & do a single cycle first to see how I respond to the meds. It's amazing how expensive all of this is.. Even with the "low cost" plan, it's 17K upfront for 4 fresh cycles not including any of the meds. The single cycle is 6500 w/out meds, but at least with that one I can pay 1/2 upfront & pay the rest over time. So sad that so many women take the ability to get pregnant & carry to term for granted.

I wanted to say hi also and welcome! Looking forward to hearing about your journey - when will you start? I'm going to be doing my first IVF as well and will start BCP this week with injections started end of the month.

I started taking the BCP this week to suppress me. I should start in late February, early March. They haven't made my exact calendar yet. I also started taking Royal Jelly supplements today. I read that can help with DOR. We shall see!! I doubt it can hurt anything.
