stimming? DH and I had this conversation this morning. I thought I'd read that you weren't supposed to BD at all while stimming but other than the obvious reason, I don't know why they say that and/or if I'm imagining it.

Laura - We are always told no, because of the shaking of the ovaries and rupture. But that is my RE's policy -. You might want to check with yours.

They didn't tell me not to. They made a big deal of telling me there were no BD restrictions post-RT, but that we were not allowed post TR. Now, they told me to wait at least until I get a HB. It's been a while LOL! Good luck, Stacy

They told me that the last night to bed was when we did the HcG trigger... and it worked out that we DID BD that night (DH had been away on business, and I don't know what movie they showed him on the flight home, but he came home FRISKY! Ha!)

His sample was great, so I guess the 36hours before retrieval rule worked for us? I think he had 95million post-wash / swim-up? That was MORE THAN enough to overwhelm my 30 little oocytes! : )

The nurse did tell me no BD after the retrieval AT ALL.

HTH!

We were told to use protection during supression and stims, and then no BDing at all from time of RT to first beta.

We were also to to "clear DH out" (using protection) 2-3 days prior to RT, so he would have fresh guys to contribute.

I saw a story on the news a while back that a woman TR'd only 2 MBs but ended up with quads b/c she and DH BD'd during stims. The doctor "missed" an egg during RT, it ovulated on its own and fertilized with the sperm that was still hanging around from their pre-RT BDing. As luck would have it, that egg split into identical twins AND both the TR'd MBs implanted as well! I can only IMAGINE their surprise at the 1st u/s!

Anyways, I was told to BD the night of the HCG b/c it is the last time you are allowed to for a while (Hopefully, until after you see a h/b). That is also the perfect timing to clean out DH's pipes before he has to produce his sample. My first two cycles, we did but, this last time, I was way to bloated and sore to even think about it.

Either way, I would find out what your RE says and follow Dr's orders...
