i am so upset i never thought i would be at this point in my life and i just feel so sad. let me explain a little bit about what is going on.

Hi. That must be so frustrating to have the insurance company require 12 IUIs!!! Do they cover the IUIs? If they don't, you may benefit from adding up your out of pocket for the remaining 4 IUIs and compare that to IVF out of pocket. My insurance doesn't require a certain number, but I have a lifetime max of $10,000 which is most certainly gone by now since I just finished my first IVF. Is there any way around the requirement, such as having your doctor write them to say that IVF is the only way you'll get pregnant? I think sometimes they will bend a little if they have the documentation of failures and doctor's recommendation.

hey thanks so much for writing me i appreciate it a lot. i am covered unlimited iui's so its just co pay and if insurance doesnt cover ivf i have to pay $18,000 out of pocket and with insurance covering including icsi (because of my husbands issue) it will be $1,500 so it would be a little crazy not to wait it out.
Have the varicocele surgery. The varicocele will get worse over time and it can cause pain when he is in his 40's and beyond. Better to have the surgery now that he is young man. My DH's urologist told us not to bother with the varicocelectomy but after 2 failed IVF'S they agreed maybe we should give it a try. 4 months after the operation we tried IVF again. His count was still low, but there is a theory that a varicocele can damage the DNA of whatever sperm a man does have and that can reduce your IVF success. This 3rd cycle we got a BFP and all the blasts were very good quality. This 3rd cycle were sooo much better than the previous 2. I cant help but think the surgery made the difference. It was funny because the same doctor who was telling us not to bother with the surgery was the same Dr who told us to give it a try after 2 failed IVF's.
My DH was up and playing sports again after about 4 weeks. The surgery took about an hour. He was uncomfortable but not in terrible pain at all. If you do ask for the minimally invasive microsurgery. That is the best and most high tech way to do this procedure now. If your Dr cannot perform the surgery that way, find one who does. It should be easy because it is quite common.
With respect to the blood clotting. I have one of those disorders and I am on baby aspiren and NEEVO that is pre metobolized Folic acid. Lots of women have these disorders and have no problems during pregnancy.It's pretty common so don't worry to much.
If you have another MS your doctor might reccomend putting you on Lovenox which is a blood thinner. They usually will not put you on this medicine unless you have more than one MS. It is a blood thinner and there are many risk factors when taking it, so they only consider giving this to women with multiple miscarriages.
Be patient, you are so young. Maybe the IUI might work after he has the surgery, if you choose to go that route. Take some comfort that you are dealing with this in your mid 20's instead of mid 30's. Time is on your side and it sounds like it's just a matter of time before this all works out for you both

I think you just need to be patient because of your insurance and just save your money for the IVF in case those IUI don't work. Since you are soo young you are probably qualify for the money back guarantee programs. I think it is call attain program.
