How many embryos do you plan to transfer?

There have been lots of debate over the past few years on what the safest number of embryos are to transfer in IVF. What is your doctor recommending? What factors play a role in that decision?
We transferred the recommended 2 blasts on our sucessful fresh cycle and one stuck. In our FET cycles we went with 1 blast instead of the recommended 2. It took us two tries but we're happily pregnant with another singleton. The first time around multiples would have been ok with us but not the 2nd time.

We transferred 2 embryos 3 days ago. Our doctor had recommended that for us, plus our adopted embabies were frozen 2 to one straw, so we did not like the idea of trying to refreeze one embryo after thawing both if we had decided on a single embryo transfer. We are pleased with the decision to transfer 2 babies.
