IVF consult completed, February here we come!

So nervous, but a lot has been happening so I'll recap: Previously unexplained IF, just got AMH level back at 0.43 (I am 36) so that pretty much sucks. We're going with a microdose flare protocol starting BCP's in January and stimming in February. So very nervous but excited at the same time! Is anyone else cycling? The boards seem to have slowed down a lot.

I did a lupron flare protocol with my sucessful fresh IVF cycle in 2009. It worked great for me. Hope it does for you too! February will be here before you know it =)

Hi ladies! Count me in. I'm so excited today. I thought I was going to have to wait until February to start my IVF cycle because I didn't think I could get all the drugs and paperwork completed in time for January given that I had to wait for a BFN from my IUI cycle. Well, I got the BFN yesterday so I called the clinic today. The nurse immediately called in my meds to Freedom and they are going to be here tomorrow!! Also, I'm doing a money back guarantee so my husband has to send the money in for that tomorrow. I'm about 2 hours away from my clinic, so it will be an all day thing to go for my ultrasounds. I'll be taking Menopur, Gonal-F RFF Pen, Ganirelix, and then an Ovidrel trigger with Progesterone suppositories towards the end of the cycle. The bill was $3,300.00 wow! For the egg retrieval day, they ordered one Valium pill. Anybody know if this is typical? I hope the egg retrieval is not painful. I've never taken Valium before. Anyway, I'll do whatever it takes at this point. I feel so desperate, but I actually have a spark of hope today!

I just got all my drugs and in less than 24 hours from the time they were called in. Amazing! And my husband went to the bank this a.m., so the payment is in the mail for the money-back guarantee. It covers 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles for $17,500 and 70% money back if no live birth. (My insurance doesn't cover anything.) It seemed to be the best deal in the area, which is why I'm going to that clinic 2 hrs away. I suppose if we got pregnant the first cycle we'd be slightly bummed for over spending, but I really liked the idea of no pressure. If it doesn't work the first time, oh well, we've paid for another cycle. Although we'll have to dish out more money for the drugs... sheeesh!!
Isn't it amazing how fast the meds can get here?! Shame the rest of the mail/ups/fed ex packages can't work that quickly, right?! :) That seems like a terrific deal for that many cycles. We were self pay with all our IUI's, clomid, femara cycles in 2009/2010 and we were lucky enough to have my husband get a new job in september that covers several treatment cycles. It is nice to know that if this doesn't work, there's another chance already waiting. I just purchased an IVF meditation download on itunes tonight and listened to it. I have serious ADD and could only get through 10 minutes of laying there, but loved what I listened to so far. My goal is to listen to it at least 5 times per week.

I try not to obsess in cycles too...but it never works =) Luckily once they start up they keep you so busy it goes really fast. Waiting for AF is the worst though...that hag never shows up when she's wanted and ALWAYS shows up when not wanted. Hope she doesn't keep you in limbo.

Jezebel, let me know how you like the Acupuncture and if you think it's beneficial. Also, what is on your meditation CD? Is it like nature sounds?
Well today starts my cycle day 1. I have a baseline u/s this Wednesday and I guess I'll start the injections that day too! Yippie. I'm actually excited to start jabbing myself with needles.. who would have thought?!? lol. So I figured out from reading some other sites that I'm on the antagonist protocol for meds. Not sure what that means, but at least I don't have any intramuscular injections.
