Hi Ladies -

So I am officially on the calendar for my next cycle!!!! We are going the DE route this IVF cycle as my last IVF only produced 3 eggs and only one fertilized. It resulted in a BFP, but my betas quickly fell. So here we are - our donor has been matched, and we have been given our dates. I'm starting Lupron around June 25th (depending on when AF makes her appearance this month) and then will start hormone replacement while my donor does Lupron and will start her stim meds. We are looking at a week of July 24th retreival and transfer three days later! I'm looking forward to getting the show on the road and am looking forward to the ladies who will be joining me! Who else is with me??? How are you feeling? When will you start??

FX for all of us getting our BFP's soon!!!

Welcome Sandie and Michelle -

So glad you are joining us here - you will find that this group of women are fabulous support and you will get answers to all of your questions. I found that when I couldn't ask my nurse (because I was freaking out at 10 pm) that the ladies here jumped right in to calm my fears.

This whole process is such a scary unknown, and my the new patient coordinator keeps telling me things like 'don't worry, we'll go over all that later' and all I want is answers now!

I have a quick question ladies:

What has been your average cost of meds?

For both my IVF cycles my meds were between $3-$3k.

Does any know if Lupron, once opened, is to be stored in the fridge?

It's been a while since my last cycle!
Me 34 DH 50 Sept 2007 failed VR November 2008 2nd failed VR April 2009 failed TESA 4% motility with none to use after freeze. DH massive infection post-op two rounds of antibiotics. Set for first IVF cycle with fresh TESA and Donor back-up; ER July 13

Does it say anything on the box? I'm not 100% sure about Lupron, but I know on my last protocol I had Microdose Lupron and that needed to be stored, but it said right on the label. You think that they would want to make this as easy for us as possible since it's somewhat overwhelming at times!!! I'll be curious to see if someone has the answer since I'm doing regular Lupron this cycle and they pharmacy needed to compound it there as there is a nationwide shortage of Lupron right now I guess...

Disregard. Room temperature for up to 28 days. My bad. Plus it's Suprefact not Lupron.

Starting bcp's tomorrow!

I actually just emailed my nurse last Friday asking this question because I had used Lupron before and it didn't come refrigerated or anything but this time it did.
