Hi Ladies -

So I am officially on the calendar for my next cycle!!!! We are going the DE route this IVF cycle as my last IVF only produced 3 eggs and only one fertilized. It resulted in a BFP, but my betas quickly fell. So here we are - our donor has been matched, and we have been given our dates. I'm starting Lupron around June 25th (depending on when AF makes her appearance this month) and then will start hormone replacement while my donor does Lupron and will start her stim meds. We are looking at a week of July 24th retreival and transfer three days later! I'm looking forward to getting the show on the road and am looking forward to the ladies who will be joining me! Who else is with me??? How are you feeling? When will you start??

FX for all of us getting our BFP's soon!!!

So ultrasound today was not bad...13 at 7-8mm and 1 at 9mm. They said it's early and hoping to capture all of them by keeping me at 300 iu Puregon and 75 Repronex.

Next ultrasound on Thursday will reveal a more accurate number of follies. Crossing my fingers for at least 10!

They are still recommending standard fertilization for my eggs instead of ICSI saying the rates are really good with frozen sperm and it's not necessary to add an added risk of chromosone deficiences with ICSI.

Just hope and pray that's all I can do. The science is in there hands!

So nurse just called an up'd my Puregon to 350 iu. They say my LH is still low? I really don't understand.

Does this mean that those potential 13 are no good and they won't take?

I hope this doesn't ruin the whole cycle?

You should be okay and the 13 should be fine - the LH doesn't affect the eggs as far as growth - it just has to do with their release. What stim day are you on? LH basically signals that your body is getting ready to ovulate. Its like when your are TTC naturally and using OPK's - the OPK registers the level of LH in your body and catches the "surge" - usually you O within 24-36 hours from a + OPK. The Puregon will just increase the growth of your eggies... So unless they said they were concerned or thought you might be cancelled, I think you are good. When is your next u/s?

Thanks, that's the LH that I'm familiar with. They are making sound like it'll effect my follicle growth if it's low.

Anyhoo, Thursday's the next ultrasound so we'll see what happens. I'm on day 5 of stims.

Do you get any more info on your DE's? When do you think you'll transfer? Go luck on the wait, seems like the worst part of all this!

Sounds like you are moving right along....stimming and all the stuff involved can get very confusing.

Hi, I'm new here on "July Cyclers". I am doing IVF for the first time. I don't feel any side effects yet, and I hope that's normal. Today I go for lab work and supression check ultrasound. not sure what that is for. I have a tentative retrieval on July 21, they may freeze all, or do a fresh transfer. We are really hoping for a lot of healthy embryos from one shot, if we do we will transfer, but if we don't, we'll just freeze all and do another cycle. My nurse and RE think it might be possible since I had count of 38 antral follicles. Does anyone here know how the side effects should be,
and when? I don't want to feel bad on stim meds necessarily, but I want to know it's working! Any insight or experience?

I usually start to fell pretty bloated around day 6 which is what I am. I think everyone reacts different to stims. I have on and off headaches, lower abdo pain/discomfort and lovely constipation.

All the best in stimming looks like you have a great base to start from!

Welcome welcome!!! We are so glad you are joining us! FX that you have a fabulous first IVF experience and get your BFP!!! I had minimal issues with my meds the first time around - slight headache from the Microdose Lupron, but nothing horrible. Since I'm an older gal, I didn' thave a ton of follies so didn't have any discomfort in my abdomen area.

This time around, with my donor cycle, I don't need to do stim meds, but the regular Lupron I am on is giving me some pretty spectacular headaches, but I'm on the lower dose now so they seem to be getting less intense. All worth it in the end though right?

GL to you and looking forward to cheering you on! Do you have an estimate of when ER will be?
