I heard a term in a book I read for IVf coined "Guarded Optimism".

Guarded Optimisim is the correct words.

How are your twins doing? You kind of just dropped off the board and I wondered how things were going. Were they boys/girls.

I love that one "so and so had this, and they got pregnant". I know most of them mean well, but there is absolutely no logic behind that that thought.

Thank You for posting this thread. As a 3 time IVFer I couldn't have said it any better. Everything you have wrote I have thought. I am sure your words will help someone and there are a lot of us who feel the same way so thank you.

Ya there is pretty much no way around feeling the way you do. You want to have fun at the shower but then your own sadness kicks in. So many triggers. Don't you love it when your fertility becomes open conversation. We have been together for about 12 years and when you are together for that long it kind of brings a whole new dimension to things.

btw that is a good idea for a post, Shower Survival Tips Getting Past the Baby Bingo Safely! I think I will write that one tonight :-} lol

I agree with you on some level that you shouldnt be flaunting your successes while others are going through ivf failure. But on the other hand,
