Hi everyone,
I've never been to this board so I hope you don't mind me barging in. This is my first IVF cycle. I had a 3 day transfer of two embryos. I did a trigger shot the night before my egg retrieval. It has now been 12 days from the trigger and 8 days past the transfer. I have been getting positive home tests for a few days. This morning when I went for a blood test to check my progesterone, they weren't encouraging and told me to stop testing. (which I won't because I'm an addict.). I am sure that the trigger is out of my system by now.
What do you think? Hopes up? I don't want to get tool excited because my Dad died yesterday and it would be very easy for me to paint a fairy tale that this pregnancy was sent from heaven.
I need your honest advice. My next blood test to Test beta is not until next week.

I don't want to get your hopes falsely up, but my progesterone was low after the transfer (two or three days after). Anyhow, that really freaked me out and made me feel like there was no way I was pregnant. They upped my dose and told me not to worry. I ended up with a BFP. I never tested until the morning of my beta though -- just couldn't handle the uncertainty of it all! I hope you get your heaven-scent BFP, and my condolences on the loss of your father.
My beta isn't until 15dpt, but would you say it's safe to assume this is not a false positive? I'm cautious to get my hopes up. With my father just dying, it seems easy for me to conjure up the fairy tale that he sent this baby from heaven.

Oh my goodness, what an emotional roller coaster you're going thru. My sympathies on the loss of your dad.
Based on my experience, I had a positive HPT at 10dp5dt and it was correct. I also have heard to allow 10 days after trigger to safely know it's out of your system.
I'd remain cautiously optimistic!! Good luck! :)
