New and nervous...

Hello, my name is Angie and I have been married to my amazing husband for 5 years.  We have been ttc for about 3 years now and found out a while ago that it is male factor.  We decided 2 days ago to go forward with IVF/ICSI and we have chosen our target date.

I have never ever blogged before or even been a part of an online community, so not sure what to expect.  I just felt like I needed some support from people who know what we will be going through.  I have so many emotions now that we have actually decided to do it!  I am nervous, excited, scared, want to throw up!  I have never honestly felt so many emotions at one time in my life!

Well, just wanted to get out here and see how it goes.  Does anyone have any advice, encouragement, anything?  I am most nervous about the progesterone shots, as I am DEATHLY afraid of needles!  I know it is childish, but it's a fact!  Anyway, thanks for listening and I look forward to getting to "know" you all.

Im new to this whole thing too! Its very overwhelming! My husband and I just started our first cycle of IVF in the end of february. I too was SO scared of the injections but for me its not that bad! sometimes it hurts a little bit but nothing you cant handle, I think getting my blood drawn all the time is worse! We arent doing the progesterone injections ours is a vaginal suppository so Im thankful for that Ive heard those arent very fun! Anyways, just wanted to share my story and good luck to you :)

Hi Angie - I too had to do IVF/ICSI due to male factor. This board was a life safer for me when I did IVF, don't know what I would have done without it. You'll find lots of support here :-)

The Progesterone shots really weren't that bad. I used to lay on my tummy on the bed, have my husband do the shot (so I couldn't see it), then we put a heat back over the spot, which really helped.

Good luck with your cycle!

Sara
