I'm so sorry your IVF cycle didn't work out. Many clinics do a sonohysterogram before an IVF cycle to check out the uterus and make sure there aren't any fibroids, polyps, etc. that would interfere with implantation. If your clinic hasn't done one on your wife maybe that would be a place to start. As far as doing the same protocol, I think that's a very standard protocol with donor transfers and FETs so I wouldn't be nervous about doing it again. Usually they are successful about 50% of the time so hopefully you're in the other 50% next time =) Good luck!

Thank you...is that the same as a hysteroscopy? My wife had a hysteroscopy before the cycle and the doctor said that everything looked normal.

It's very similar. If your wife's already had that done I'd probably just go with round 2. The IVF process is so nerve wracking and exhausting. I'm wishing you lots of luck, please keep us posted!

Sorry about your IVF cycle. It is such a stressful wait-and-see game. I just wanted to share that everything looked perfect with my first cycle, too. My uterine lining was ideal and the embryo we transferred was of great quality. I got pregnant, but lost it. They had no answer for me. I just went thru a frozen cycle in August and now I'm 13 weeks! :)

I had the same thing happen. This time my doctor added IViG to my FET protocol. It is an infusion. We did a pregancy loss panel of bloodtests through the one lab in the country that looks at immunology issues as part of the cause of implantation problems. It is called Millenova Labs. My local RE drew 8 vials and I shipped them to this lab. It showed extreme numbers for natural killer cells NK and for cytokines 15 and 16...not that I know what that really means. BUT my doc says that this infusion can be an effective treatment. I'm literally on my two week wait post-FET so I'll have to get back to ya on just how effective it is. I hope this helps! Good luck. The tests and the infusion are not cheap...about 2K each. But the FET part is less expensive than the stimming and ER of the other cycles so it evens out I guess. It's a long road. Take care.
