Hi All,

I just started my stimulation medicine and was hoping to talk to the other women who are going through the cycle the same time.

Hi gals,

I just realized several of you are ahead of me and well into stims... I am only on Lupron at this stage, and start Follistim on Friday! Right now I am sooo bloated and have been nauseated for days now! I thought, great, at least I'll lose a few pounds cuz the nausea has me missing a lot of meals... Nope! Gained 3#, guess it's fluid. :(

Hello - Today is day day 7 of my Gonal-F (225 iu). I went in Thanksgiving morning (after 5 days of shots) and was told I have 4 follicles on one side, 6 on the other, but all still small. I go back in on Sunday (after 8 days of shots) and hopefully we'll be moving right along. I was wondering if this was normal, in terms of #s of follicles. It looks lower than others that have posted here :0( but hopefully it's still ok and maybe there will be more on Sunday?

This is our first IVF attempt. I'm also doing acupuncture to try to help the process - I want to do everything possible to give ourselves the best chance possible for a healthy pregnancy that makes it full-term.

Wishing much luck to everyone!

Well, in comparison to me, I think you're doing great! At my first ultrasound I had like three and two, so it didn't look good, but at retrieval, I think I had 14 and they got 12 and ultimately ended up with two transferred and three frozen...so, pat on the back, I think you're doing great!

Ok, I know this is not what you really want to hear, but if you are in danger of OHSS they will have to treat that first...and they need to. Not only could it have very serious consequences, it is also not something you'd want to put your embryos thru. I've heard some say that FET cycles are easier and more successful, anyway. I just found out yesterday that my progesterone fell dangerously and they say that's something that tends to happen to pcos women. Needless to say, with my two little embryos already transferred, I was majorly freaking out, but I know it's out of my hands and whatever is going to happen is going to happen. I'm probably doing more harm by stressing, so I'm trying very hard to reframe my thinking. At this point, I'm wishing you luck in not developing the OHSS, from what I understand, it can be pretty bad. Stay healthy!

Oh thank Kayla. I didn't even realize that there could be more the next time I go in ... my center has been awful about educating me and I've been trying not to read too much online so I stay as stress-free as possible (thought that may be backfiring on me). Hopefully when I go in tomorrow there will be more visible!

I started my stims Friday. I had my first u/s yesterday and had 4 small follicles on each side. My next u/s is Thursday and praying for a lot more follies and growth so we have a successful ER. It is what it is though so trying not to stress too much and as you all know that is easier said than done. I think my ER is tentatively scheduled for the 2nd week of December if all goes as planned.

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies...I've been here a long time (unfortunately) so hopefully I can help with any questions you might have.

Hi Everyone,

Looks like a couple new ladies have joined in since I was on last. It's nice to have a good sized group to be able to compare stories and share support.
