I am new here. I am so glad to be able to share my experiences with others with regards to IVF. To make a long story short, I have undergone 10 IVF cycles and finally we are pregnant. We had 3 eggs transfered on 7/18 and 2 eggs were frozen. I am 37 and DH is 36. We have been married since 2001. I had 8 IVF cycles with my 1st marriage and not even 1 positive pregnancy. That whole thing eventually put a strain on our marriage and it ended. Then I met my soul mate. And 2 tries later we are expecting. I can totally sympathize with anyone who is going through this. It is the worse rollercoaster ride of your life. I cried, I laughed and I cried. But let me tell you all something, never ever lose hope. I never did. I didn't wrap my life up totally into it but I never shut the door on the thought of being a mom. I waited a total of 18 to conceive a child. Yes that means I was married the first time at 19..lol So here I am at 37 and my dream came true. On the 22nd of July I couldn't wait to find out if I was, so I went out and bought 4 HPT. They all tested positive! I get my blood work on 7/31. I called the doctors office and spoke to one of the nurses and told her I cheated and that I had tested myself and that they all came out positive. She told me that the home pregnancy test are indeed 99.9% acurate and if it showed up as soon as the 22nd, we are probably expecting more than one. I still seems like a dream to me but I must say, I am not feeling like myself. It's an unexplained feeling. To all of you out there that are going through IVF, I send you my sticky vibe and hope you all get your wish! Good Luck to All of You

Sorry it took me so long to write back but I was away for a few days. As far as affording IVF. The first 8x was covered in full by insurance. The 9th I had a maximum of $10,000 lifetime also covered by insurance and the 10th my husband works for the Union of Electricians in NYC and they have a fund to cover unpaid medical expenses by insurance so we got covered through that. I have just been very lucky with insurance. I had given up at one point and took a 4 year break but then I had this urge to try again and here we are 4 weeks into our pregnancy. Hang in there, don't get discouraged. It is a rollercoaster ride but its worth it when your hear that your pregnant. I will send you my sticky vibes and hopefully it will stick!
Talk to you soon
Good luck to you and DH
