When we found out about the severely low sperm count from my DH's urologist we were told not to bother operating on his varicoele (basically that is a varicose vein in the testical). There is divide in medical opinion as to if operating on a varicocele will help fertility when it comes to severe cases.

Hey, Sarah! Congratulations on your pregnancy!! And thank you for the information. DH and I tried for a year and a half....and nada. OPK were working for me, so timing didn't seem to be the problem, but we never even had a blip on the radar, if you know what I mean, and I was becoming increasingly frustrated and despondent....it was not good for my mental health, at all. Our doctor told us based on DH SA, we would very likely never conceive a child naturally. Though, yes, I realize they also have a financial motive for saying that. DH also had a VR. If we had all the time in the world, I might have felt more comfortable trying naturally for awhile and we just may have got our miracle baby, but who knows? If it didn't happen, I knew I would really have regretted losing that time as I will be 36 next month and I'd really like two children. Again, best wishes with your pregnancy!

Hi Kayla

just read your siggy and wanted to let you know I was in the same boat with DH. He had a vas reversal and low motility and high antibodies (72%). We ttc for 18months with one m/c and 2 chemical pg. I was 2 weeks away from ivf and we got a BFP the day we were supposed to pay for our first cycle. I didnt have much hope because I read the high antibodies cause miscarriages but i am almost 16wks pg and baby is doing just fine.
GL with this cycle and I hope you get your BFP!

Keep your chin up! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the 24th brings some words that you've been waiting so long to hear! It is incredibly hard to stay positive, and I can't imagine how surreal it will feel when I finally get to see a BFP, but I am putting everything I have into remaining optimistic!

I'll be thinking about you and hoping for your success!

take care,

Mindy

HAHA! I know what you mean.My Dh and I were together 13 years before we got our BFP! When they called with my BETA results I was so sure that they mixed me up with someone else I had DH drive me to CVS to get an HPT so I make sure!!! So yea I know exactly how you feel.

For my FET, I am doing a undedicated cycle. just a low dose trigger and some progesterone suppositories.I dont even have to go in for b/w or u/s until the 29th. They said I might even trigger that day!

Awwww...that's really wonderful news! I know it will be hard to relax and believe...that's just one of those things IF robs us of. But, I still believe in celebrating the little victories! Today, I have 5 embabies...maybe tomorrow they won't be there, but I'm allowing myself to feel happy for today. The whole darn thing is so scary, though, and I know none of us will ever not be on edge about what might happen next. I hope this is the real deal for you!

A big congrats on your BFP!!! I am sure 14dp trigger is enough time to have that out of your system. I say this is time for you to celebrate!!!
