I can't recommend anyone in NY - I'm in Boston, MA - but I did want to wish you luck.

Try to hear their recommendations with an open mind.

I'm still too new at this myself but I wish you lots of luck! FWIW If you get any to freeze you may have a chance at a second try if you need it and it won't cost quite as much for that time.

What? What test did they do to determine egg quality? Unless they are looking at your eggs how could they possibly know their quality? I think it could be worth a second opinion.

I am so sorry that your appt. didn't go as well as you hoped. I know, as a fellow AMA'er, that they are basing your egg quality off statistics and those statistics are very defeating. I'm 41 and was told I have a better chance with donor eggs as well, but DH and got pg once on our own (yes, we m/c but there were no chromosonal defects) so I have to believe that I have a few good eggs left. We are going to take our chance with my eggs and see what happens.

Have you thought about a second opinion? Sending hugs as I know how heartbreaking it is to hear that your body just isn't what it use to be and that your options become very limited.

Please keep us posted.

Ann

Crazy08,

Just checking in to see how your treatment is coming along. My Dh & I are giving DE/ IVF a try and they already started me on meds & we picked our Donor.

Sending positive vibes your way.

Congrats Wannabmommy - once the donor is picked seems like a big stress is relieved and things start falling into place.
