Stimming too fast?

This is my third fresh cycle and I am on Menopur only this time. I have stimmed for 5 days and already have 3 mature follicles w/ 9 more coming along. The nurse said I may only stim for one or two more days. From what I have read, 8 days is usually the minumum.

I am feeling like this is really bad news. Any insight?

It's all about quality not quantity so hopefully you've got some good ones growing in there. That's crap that they won't let you talk to Dr B...you're paying a butt load of money...can you throw a little hissy fit and demand to talk to him? Not really kidding =)

Thanks Caryn...I am frustrated because it hasn't been Dr. B reviewing my results and I had some questions for him but the nurse said that all I can do is email her the questions and she would "try" to talk to him about them soon. SO frustrating!!! I hope it is he that reviews things today and we'll see what they say. I'm guessing they will let the top 3 go and hope the other 9 might catch up. IDK...this is the lowest number of follicles I've ever had at this point and biggest. I feel like this is bad :(.

I think the biggest factors are (1) is your E2 rising to suggest that these follicles are mature (I think they target 100-200 per mature follicle)? and (2) will your lining be ready to support them at ET?

If the answer to both of those is yes then I don't think it's a bad sign at all. Interested to hear what Dr B has to say...

Maybe it's an option to let the 3 that are mature reabsorb and concentrate on the 9 that would mature in the normal 8-10 day window? My guess is it hinges on your E2 result.

Wishing you tons of good luck!
