Okay... I kinda feel stupid asking this, but when exactly is stimming. I keep hearing it, but is it when I am on gonal f/menopur, or is it when I start ganirelix? And should I keep my feet warm all the time during this process? Did you? Los Angeles was 89 yesterday, so the socks are getting a little uncomfortable

Not a stupid question at all!!!!!!! Especially because everyone has different protocols. GonalF, Menopur and I think also Ganirelix are all "stims" (stimulatory drugs) - versus BCPs and Lupron which supress. Let me know if you have other questions! I'm trying to learn everything - it's crazy!

I have never heard of keeping the feet warm....did you RE tell you to do that?

Yes, stimming is when you are stimulating the ovaries...I stimmed for 10 days last time, but everyone is different. That is when you are really in the thick of things :). Good luck!

Stimming is when you take menopur/gonal F to make your follicles grow.

Thank you all! I get it now... At least some of it! Yes, I heard that keeping your feet warm during stimming helped to produce better, more quality eggs, and reduced cramping. I've heard it in the past with painful periods that one should keep the feet warm. I read it on a couple boards but was curious if any of you did it or had heard it? I am on day three of the gonal f and menopur, and I feel pretty good (knock on wood).
