but it is sooooo hard!!! Because I have PCOS, my doctor has me on a low carb diet. She didn't really specify how many carbs is low carb. But I am laying off fried foods, baked goodies, ice cream, and soda. I absolutely love french fries, ice cream, and Coca Cola so this is killing me!! But, I'm trying to look at the big picture and know that this is totally worth bringing home a beautiful baby!! Can't wait to actually get started with the meds ans stuff (ouch!) !!

Good for you, I know it's really hard (I totally failed at my attempt to eat better before my cycle). I imagine you could probably find some good meal plan suggestions with an internet search? I know there are even some PCOS specific plans, good luck!

It is SOOO hard, so don't be so hard on yourself. Even just being aware helps! And I'm sure you are doing it! A little treat here and there is healthy too. I just wanted to tell you that in the years before I did ivf, I got into the best shape of my life (not easy -- and even starting running, which I never ever thought I could do!). In the months before ivf, DH and I switched to an all organic diet (he eats meat so he got farm-fed organic meats, but I haven't for twenty-five years). We exercised regularly and just did our best to think/envision a healthy baby. DH was super game -- I fed him all kinds of seeds for fertility -- pumpkin, pomegranite, etc and even a fertility boost/vitamin drink daily that his urologist recommended -- expensive though. He felt like a bird! I stopped exercising halfway through the month before I did my ivf -- didn't want to overdo it. And we were so lucky that our first cycle worked, which I am sure is partly because of those positive changes. Funny thing though, I got put on bed rest for the next three months and still am not allowed to exercise during my pregnancy (no baby dance either!!!). Now I think I am in the worst shape of my life, but try to tell this prego woman she can't have ice cream!!! Ha!

About me: Sheri 35, DH 42, happily married 16 years, 3 furbabies TTC#1 since forever, MFI (complications from Type 1 Diabetes) December, February IUIs cancelled. One thing after another. March IVF stopped for uterine polyps (my turn to have something
