Hi ladies. I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I am FINALLY ready to start IVF, Lupron start date 4/1, but my tentative ER date and subsequent ET date conflict with a very important week at work.....standardized testing for my students!! When speaking with my nurse she said that this is tentative and it could be the 17th, which would b e perfect. But do I chance it?? I really don't wanna stay on BCP for additional time due to scheduling conflicts. I've been waiting for this moment since 2005!!

My question is, how many of you received a tentative retrieval date and the retrieval actually fell on another day? If it fell on another day, was it before or afer the tenatative date?? I know that its all up to how my body responds (not sure of the dosage yet, but I will be on menopur and bravelle, 16 vials of each), but I'm just trying to get some stats.

My IVFs were never on the targeted retrieval date, usually a day or two after. Because you have to wait until the eggs are at the right point, it varies widely from person to person. The chances of it being a different day is pretty good.

Are you planning to take any rest days after transfer?

Thanks Cilla!!! I feel much better now! I plan to be on bedrest the day of transfer and take it easy for the next few days.

I am a teacher and my ER and ET were during our testing week (CSTs in CA). It was supposed to be the month before, but they found polyps. I missed the testing but told the principal and testing coordinator what was up. Have a gorgeous, blessed little boy now, could care less about any of last year's test scores. That chance at a miracle is way more important. Besides, if you care so much about missing that week, I am sure you have prepared your kids for it all year! Your life is way more important than test scores!

Btw, I missed the whole testing week, and of sprig break wasn't the next week, I would have missed it too. I had slight ohss and ended up getting sick. ER was difficult for me.
