Hi Ike2011,

You asked about food/drink to avoid and I had some info I wanted to share. My RE puts all of his patients on a special diet. A huge portion of the patient population has developed insuling resistance and this contributes to things like PCOS. Also, the insulin surges due to diet can actually beat up your eggs, leaving their quality compromised. The short story is that you should stay away from carbohydrates. There are 2 phases to the diet, the one that I am to stay on until a positive test is VERY restrictive, but I have dropped a ton of weight, feel great, and sleep like a baby. The second phase is easier to work with and allows back certains grains and fruits. It's actually quite easy. I've gotten more creative with cooking and have been turning out some awesome stuff. I am attaching the full details in a .pdf. I

Hi all!! I am super happy to report that I am cycling this month. It seemed like it was going to take FOREVER to get here. It seems like there are different types of cycles going on. I'm on an antagonist protocol.

There must be so many different ways to do this... I didn't have to do patches or OPKs or monitor for LH surges. I was supressed on BCP for a little while and them I just started the meds. I'll add Ganirelex to what I'm already taking in about 6 days or so and then a big shot of hCG right before retreival. I'm sending prayers your way. You deserve a break for sure!!!!

Hey Holly! Welcome and thanks so much for attaching the diet. I haven't read it all but will print it and look. My biggest problem is that I workout usually 4-5 days a week but they say not to while doing this. That is fine but I am curious if I can at least walk or do weights or what. I certainly don't want to jeopardize this cycle, we have waited too long to get this started. Also, I want to eat what I should during this cycle and do everything foodwise that can help the process. I sure wish I knew what I could do to make egg quality better but my RE assures me there is nothing.....age STINKS!!!!

CH028 - I am not familiar withe the process you are doing testing your LH surge. The last time and this time I am just doing the BCP to suppress and then lupron starts wednesday, stim 10 days later. I hope things work out for you. I will keep you in my thoughts. I KNOW the waiting game is the toughest part.
