Kelly, I am getting an ounce or an ounce and a half when I pump too. I cannot do it regularly though! My nipples hurt too much tmi! I do not like how the pump feels (& it is one of those $400 ones!!!). I go back in two weeks and I have Only 2 containers! Oh well. We'll see what I can do. Maybe formula and bf too. I have been pumping a nighttime bottle for DH and we put vitamin d in it, but I may have to stop to build a stash. How are you all doing? I'm typing one handed on my iPhone while bfing! I kept waiting to write because I wanted to do it with two hands. Ha! Like that will ever happen . I feel for you Chris and Jenn. My 3 year Old niece came over and she kept trying to play with eddin or bring him things like a blanket or a boopy. She would try to set things on him. I cannot imagine that 24/7. It is sweet for only so long! How are your los sleeping? In general? Should we create a board in the grad section? If so, what should we call it?
I'm doing good except for the sore breasts and the sitting all the time! We try to go on a walk daily but otherwise, I feel like I am on my ass feeding all the time! I am such a mover I cannot stand sitting so long. Feel like I am watching too much tv too! It won't be this crazy forever though. Eddin is so amazing. They learn so quickly. He is so aware now and copies daddy when they play. He even shakes his rattle--so cute. He is 7 weeks!?! What a miracle! I'll take all the chaos! He just fell asleep while I'm writing this :)

I forgot to add - Jenn, how are you doing with your daughter and her interaction with the baby? Is she doing ok? My son seems ok, no signs of jealousy, but just overly excited. Have to watch him, and been trying to involve him. I call him my little helper.... Just curious, hope its going well. Its definitely harder with 2 now, but totally worth it!!! :)

Sheri, Wow you are a trooper! Two yeast infections and mastitis would have sent me over the edge! I am curious...When you are pumping, how much are you getting? I wasn't getting much at first, but now I have changed up my pumping schedule (I pump an hour after feeding her) and I am getting up to an ounce and a half. It doesn't seem like a lot to me, so I am curious how much others get when they pump. Hoping Eddin's acid reflux gets better soon and that he is able to be set down more often...though it is so nice to snuggle with our little ones, it can be exhausting not being able to put them down...Madelyn only likes to be set down for a little while, then she gets fussy.

Chris, You are amazing! I cannot imagine how demanding juggling a newborn and a 3 year old is...You go, girl! It must be so cute watching your two little ones together. Glad to hear that all is well.

I hear you about the bfing. I gotta say that no one tells you how difficult. I have had two breast yeast infections and mastitis. Do whatever you can to avoid both! Ouch! I am trying to go as long as I can but even my dr said that after all these infections I had permission to call it quits. I really want to make it a year. Eddin eats every forty minutes most of the time! Sometimes he goes an hour. Currently at night he goes two two to three hour shifts which saves my boobs (and sanity). I am trying to pump as I have to go back to work in two weeks, but he feeds so often I have a hard time fitting it in. His dr said he won't eat as often once his acid reflux gets better. Fingers crossed. He still refuses to be set anywhere--only wants people holding him. Had a small victory last night where I was able to get him to sleep in the bassinet for thirty minutes (at 4am). We have tried everything! White noise machine (water & ocean too), heating pad in the bassinet before we set him down, a piece of clothing that smells like me, etc. he falls asleep bfing no problem but does not stay asleep if he is moved off of people. I can pass him to DH and he doesn't wake but once he is in a bassinet, swing, you name it, he awakens and is upset. Guess we shouldn't have bought all those things! His dr said he will get better about being off of people, but he is six weeks now. I think he's been set down about an hour total if you add all the times -- in 6 weeks! Crazy! What an opinionated little sagittarius! Gotta love my little primadonna. How are you all doing?

I cannot believe that Madelyn is already 3 weeks old. I am sure that all of you are feeling like time is flying, as well!

BFing has definitely been a struggle for me. My milk did not come in for a week after her birth, so she lost a bunch of weight. My new plan, to make sure she is getting enough, is to BF her, then pump while giving her a bottle of either milk (if I have pumped enough prior to the bottle) or formula if I have no milk to give. It is a long and exhausting process, but it seems to be working. She is now 3 ounces over her birth weight.

I hope that all of you and your little ones are doing well.

I am up for continuing our group either in the Graduate section that Cilla mentioned or through Facebook, email, etc.

Feel free to start a thread down in the graduates section that will let you all keep in touch. I think it's nice to have some graduates with experience who come back to the board and chime in here or there to help out those who are still trying!!

Congrats to you all on your little bundles!! I kind of miss the days when my DS was so tiny, but I am loving the toddler stage right now!! :)

BTW - There is a board about BFing if you have any questions or challenges along the way. http://forums.ivillage.com/t5/Breastfeeding-Support-Ask-the/ct-p/iv-ppbreastfeed

So happy for you jenn & Chris. I've been wanting to type but with dr appts and babe who bfs constantly, I have not been able. Typing this one handed on iPhone. Lo is a tricky guy--the second I try to use a hand while bfing, he tries to pull down to just nipple which hurts!!! I will write more later. Def want to continue this group -- you are all my sanity and mean so much to me! I just read on January group that pix is prego :) Our April group is almost all BFP now. Can't believe how big both your little guys are! Can't believe my little is almost 6 weeks! Wow! Crystals are two months!!! Amazing.
