Knock knock, anyone home?

I'm baaaacccckkkk! You knew I couldn't stay away for long. :smileyhappy:

After 6 IUI's, DH and I took a break from TTC for about a year.  We couldn't deal with any more disappointment, and had to wrap our brains around the clotting disorders that we discovered.  After lots of talking and praying, we decided to move forward with IVF.  Well, even that's been a challenge!  During my annual, my OB discovered at 10cm, yes, 10 cm mass in my abdomen.  It was a cyst that had gotten out of control.   I had surgery for it in July and recently was cleared by the RE to begin the IVF workup proess.   We signed the financial paperwork today and have our patient education Thursday.  We're tentatively on the schedule for the Sept cycle, with the retrieval dates of Sept 10-28.

I'm on folic acid and a baby aspirin for the clotting disorders now.  Hopefully they'll help us.    During the baseline IVF labs, we discovered my thyroid levels were off, so I start Synthroid in the morning.  I have to go for repeat labs in 30 days, I don't know if they'll let me start stimming before we get the results of that test, or if we'll have to wait.  Even if we have to wait  we should be able to hit the September target dates.

So, that's my history in a nutshell!   Angie, I'm glad to be back, and hate that the board is so quiet these days.

So glad you are back and geared up for a new adventure!! Wow, to that cyst that went awry. So glad you are on the folic acid and baby aspirin. I took all of that during my IVF cycles too. I take synthroid now as well. What dosage do they have you on?

I've been on the folic acid/baby aspirin regimen for over a year now. I wish we'd caught the clotting factors earlier in the TTC process, we really feel like a couple of the losses can be directly contributed to them. :smileysad:

I'm on the 50mg synthroid. Took the first one today. I've got to change up my pill taking pattern though, I noticed I can't take it with anything containing calcium, and my multivitamin has quite a bit. I guess I'll start taking the vitamin with dinner instead. Do you have any advice for me? I was surprised when she called me with the news yesterday.

I felt the same way when I found out and the only reason I found out was because my Mom was diagnosed with MTHFR and she had Leiden Factor V.

I am on a high dose and hoping to be able to lessen it soon. Nope, no advice except to try and take it the same time everyday and to wait the 30 mins. to eat. I hope they get your levels where they need to be and soon!

I've taken it as soon as I get up the last two mornings, I'm glad I noticed that warning on the patient insert. The pharmacist didn't do his normal counseling this time, I sure wish he would have.

FX you can go down to a lower dose soon Angie!

I am glad you noticed that warning too. Between you and I, I ran out of the higher dose about a week ago and the mail order pharmacy wasn't able to get approval to send me more from the doctor, so I have been taking 100mg and feel a lot better. Yay!
