Hi!! I've been lurking around here to see what everyone is up to! It's been a busy summer! I'm glad I finally got a moment to stop in and catch up. Delilah turned 1 this past Sunday! I can't believe it. It's just FLOWN by. Dee is getting to be at such a cute age. She is so fun lately. She starting to get some words. She says Dada, no, and baby. She's not walking yet. I thought she would be and I know she has the ability. She just gets around faster by crawling. She had a few really tough months, just being SO fussy, really hard to put to sleep all kinds of fun things.
Hi Darcy! So glad you are still around supporting us! Delilah is just gorgeous! What a smile! I bet it is amazing to watch that sisterly bond. Thanks so much for sharing the pics. I love hearing and seeing what you ladies are up to! Keep me posted! Any vacation plans or staycation plans for this summer?
I'm now 15 1/2 weeks with my twins. We just found out that we are having a boy and a girl. :-) I've been very, very sick, so it's been a rough road so far. Hopefully that means I'll get off easy at the end. ;-)
Hi Nicole! Woohooo! Congrats on your boy/girl twins. I have boy/girl twins and they are amazing!!! Yay for some blue in your family! So sorry you have been very sick! Hope that passes soon, so you can enjoy your pg!!! Are the girls super excited about getting two babies? What do they think of a brother? Keep us posted on your appts and u/s! I love hearing all about the little ones!
I never come on IV anymore, but I just wanted to stop by and check in. I'm almost 27 weeks with my twins now. It's crazy to think I'm about to hit that third trimester milestone. It hasn't been an easy pregnancy, but it has been fairly complication-free, so I'll take it. ;-) I am definitely slowing down and doing a lot less. I measured 38 weeks this week to give you an idea of how big I am. In hindsight, I might have considered a single embryo transfer had I known how hard it would be to carry twins! Both babies are growing well. Our baby boy is averaging around the 60th percentile and our baby girl around the 40th. I am hoping to be one of the lucky ones who can make it full-term and avoid NICU time! :-)
Hi Nicole! Sounds like you are doing great with this pg. I remember measuring 10 weeks ahead. I am hoping, wishing and praying that your baby boy and girl will be very healthy and come home with you! Have you done any fun baby shopping? Any names picked out? Having twins is so rewarding! I am just so happy you stopped by with an update! :)
We haven't done much shopping. We have all the girl stuff we need, and we have been fortunate to receive a lot of hand-me-downs for our boy. Most purchases to this point have been nursery-related. We still need a few big-ticket items... another crib, the stroller, a diaper bag. I am trying to get the nursery finished up and organized, but it's been slow-going. For names, we think they will be Quincy and Connor. I haven't felt very connected to them (a side-effect of infertility, I think), but I've recently started to feel excited. :-)
Love the names you have picked out. I think that when you have endured infertility as we have, we are in a state of holding our breath and hoping against everything that the other shoe doesn't fall. I hope you are able to get everything for the nursery very soon. I loved decorating our nursery. Are you doing a theme?
Love the names! I know just what you mean about not feeling connected. Dh doesn't like my attitude because I am still stressing about symptoms and not telling anyone and(he says) acting like we may miscarry at any moment but I don't know how to explain how I feel like if something terrible DID happen I don't know if I could handle it so keeping my expectations low and keeping my hopes in check then I can protect myself a bit. Infertility affects every is person differently but it is even different between spouses I think.
It is great that you have received hand me downs from people that really helps! We are going to have to borrow a car seat carrier because ours expires this December.
