then my next regular doc visit 4/16/2007

I am "high risk" also since I am 35 (I turn 36 in Nov.) What does AMA mean? Can I ask how old you are? Don't you just LOVE being labeled "high risk"!?! Getting older sucks!!!

Anyway, I go to the dr. this week Wed. I think it is just a routine 16 week check. But, I think next month I will have an ultrasound. Yeah! I can't wait! I had one at 9 weeks, but you don't see a lot when you are that early.

Anyway, take care. Hope you feel better soon!

I have found myself worrying more during this pregnancy. I think it is because I am considered high risk. I am worrying less now than ealier in my pregnancy. I think it is because I have been praying and telling myself that there is nothing I can do... it is in God's hands.

Anyway, about the tests. I am a bit torn. My dr. is not a big believer in the triple screen blood tests. He said he has seen too many false positives. He did not recommend I have his test. He did offer a Amnio., but we talked about the risks and decided "no" on this test also. My dr. said his wife had one with their 4th child, and he said it was a really "bad" experience. He said if he could do it over, he would not have had one done!! So, my husband and I decided let things up to God and pray for a healthy baby. And, if we would have the tests done, we would not end this pregnancy if something was wrong with the baby. So, I guess I have to live with the worry until I have the baby.

I would not judge anyone if they chose to have these tests done. Many women do have these tests done, especially if they are over 35. I think that if my dr. really wanted me to have these tests, I would. In my case, I just decided to take his advice.

Anyway I hope and pray all of us have borning, normal pregnancies and healthy babies! God bless,
Susan
