tonight was the first night without the paci going to bed. man, was that traumatic. DD finally fell asleep after an hour of putting her down.

with #2 (thinking positive here), there will be no paci! okay, we'll use it but lose it real early, not at age 2 - LOL!

You think 2 is bad, Zach just gave his up in April and Brie last month when the dog ate the last one! LOL!


I agree with you, my older children didn't have them past 9 mos old, when they threw all of them behind the crib, no more paci.........Z & B never did throw them.

I was lucky I guess, looking back now. My ds never took a nuk and at the time I thought it was so hard because he couldnt soothe himself. He started to suck on his arm when he was 2 months old. By accident while he was getting a bath he grabbed the washcloth and sucked on that. Fast forward almost 2 years. He now has about 100 washclothes that he uses...he kind of holds them and rubs them on his face when going to sleep....its like a blankie but really small lol
