I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and she was complaining how she makes sure that her dh is able to do his activities, because if she doesn't, he's not happy which means that nobody is happy.

I try to give my DH some time to himself. I get my alone time after DH goes to work and the kiddos are in bed. I need my alone time to de-stress and reset!

That's when I get mine also, but I find myself staying up to late because it's so nice and quiet :)

Me too! I have been trying to make myself stay on a sleep schedule, so I won't stay up so late.

I don't think you are being selfish at all, that's a great way to recharge.

It totally is like recharging my batteries and my thoughts are that if I am relaxed and energized it makes me more patient and calm which in turn benefits the kids and DH ;)
