I say you know your child better than anyone else and if he is not trying to climb out of his crib and he feels safe there then why should you take him out!!
My 2yr old ds is still in a crib, and I don't plan on moving him until I need it for baby #2!! He sleeps so good in it. Why fix something that isn't broken??
I read on somewhere that you can move kids into big beds anywhere between 18mths and 3 yrs old. I say, follow your heart, and move him when you and him are ready. :)

He had a dr appt today for his 2yr check up...dr told me that no way should he still be in a crib.
