How are you doing?
Thanks for thinking about me.....AF showed her ugly head today...but Im glad to be moving forward. I think last month was the hardest cycle I ever had. I was convinced I was pg and after the bloodwork, I was devestated. It seems every cycle gets harder kwim?
I am going ahead with the Femara again, I found it at Costco for $45. Thats affordable. The injectibles are around $1000. Yikes..thats out of my price range by about $900 lol.Since today is cd1, I'll start the Femara on Fri.
I pray this works....
I am glad that you are emotional feeling a bit better! It is a new cycle, and this could be the month!
I hit rock bottom a few months ago when I joined this chat board. I was depressed for several months. Talking to others and helping them through difficult times seems to help me along my journey.
It sucks that your meds are so expensive, especially when you do not have insurance. I pay $17 for a perscription of Clomid, and that is without insurance. This price sounds pretty reasonable after reading what you pay for Femara. - - What did you pay when you were on Clomid?
I do know what you mean!
Thanks you guys for helping me get through this.....
Susan...I think I paid around $17 for the clomid too
I actually like the Femara better because of no side effects and it doesnt cause hostile cm. It's a little harder on the wallet but I actually save money because I dont have to also buy Estodiol (thickens lining), which clomid tends to thin your lining too.
I know the RE have given me 3 cycles of Femara, and he actually said "maybe you will have ins after the 3 months then you can come see me again to talk about what we'll do next." I so hope to prove him wrong.
Jennifer are you using the Femara in place of clomid? I am a little confused on the Femara.
You will prove your RE wrong!!!
Yes...I use the Femara instead of the clomid. I think it works the same way as clomid but has less side effects. I think it is faily new to the IF world, as it is a drug for breast cancer, but they found it works great on stimulating the ovaries. I take it the same way as I took clomid.
Thanks Sheila...I need them!
