I am Susan. I am 35 and my dh (who is a cancer survivor) is 39. I have one ds (Luke) who will be turning 2 yr old next month. After our battle with cancer, it took us 5 yrs to have our ds. We had tried IUI w/ clomid 12+ times, had many tests, and had 1 m/c along the way. We have been ttc since we had ds. I have been on clomid (50 mg day 3-7) for 7 mths, and did IUI 5 times. I drink green tea daily, and my dh and I may start taking FertilAid next month if we don't get a BFP this mth. I am currently on cd 26.

I want to thank everyone on the board for their support, and I hope that we all can get BFPs before Christmas!!

Hello,

Kelly 31, Ryan (DH) 32, married for 5 yrs. We have one fiery 23 mo old little girl - Olivia. She started it on her due date by doing a 180 and making me go in for a C-section - 4 days later (2 days before XMAS).

I got pregnant with Olivia my first round of Clomid after a year of sort - of trying. Clomid has not worked for me this time. After several cycles, I finally went to a reproductive endocrinologist last week. I am still waiting for my cycle day 3 results (will tell you monday).

I think my C-section messed me up. I had an big episode of PVCs (irregular heart beats) this summer, which can be caused by unbalanced hormones, and still experience them occasionally at work. I think the C-section messed me up and the clomid hurts so much, I wonder if I have endometriosis. However all this "wondering" I am sure stresses me out - which could be the simple infertiliy problem in the first place.

I work in the technology industry. I market EMR systems for doctor's offices and health systems. My job does not satisfy me enough, which leaves plenty of time for my mind to wonder during the day (about infertility).

I just read a good article in body + soul - will make another post.

Hi Kelly -

Welcome. I hope that your test results are good news Monday. I remember going through the tests, and waiting for the results can be difficult. Let's hope that you will be posting BFP soon... very soon!

My son is the same age as your daughter. He turns 2 in Dec. And, I too had a c-section. My heart beat and my ds heart beat was very high during labor for a long period of time, so they did a c-section. I also wonder if I have scar tissue that is hurting my chances for conceiving?!?

Your job sounds very interesting. I am a stay-at-home mom currently. I used to manage a bank. I have been married to my dh for 10 years. We are hoping to have another child... we would love to give Luke (ds) a sister or brother. But, I know it is out of my hands. I just hope God will give me strength to get through this if I can't have more children.

Again, I hope you get good results Mon. Keep us posted.

Hi!
I'm Sheila (37)
DH is 39
DD turned 2 last sunday (11/04)
1 cat who is 14 yo
2 goldfish
we've been married for 6 years

DD was conceived first try naturally.
have been trying for #2 for 11 cycles

i was tested for perimenopause in 01/05 b/c cycles were all over the place PP. the FSH then was 7 - clear no need to worry. but as the time went on, i was getting frustrated and b/c of age, my doc referred me to a RE.

HSG clear. FSH on 10/06 was 14.8! so it doubled in 10 cycles/months!

RE suggests injectables with IUI for 3 rounds, if no success then IVF

as long as insurance covers it then i'm all for the treatments but may stop at IVF.

that's my story - sorry it's not so elaborate sounding, but just wanted to outline the details! :)

ETA: elevated FSH is not good. anything under 10 is good. 11-15 is boderline. this means that my ovaries are failing. i have a limited reserve and the ovaries are working extra hard to produce ovaries to ovulate. yikes! i feel as if i'm too young for this.
