I may not be familiar to many of you, but I lived on this board for years in the five years DH and I were TTC. I was saved MANY times by the friends I made here, so I cannot help but lurk and cheer you all on!
My last post was in April on the day DH and I met for the first time with our adoption agency. We have a 7yo DD and now are adopting a baby boy from Guatemala. He was born 28 Aug. 2006 and is truly the most beautiful little boy I've ever seen. The process -- like TTC -- has its ups and downs, but it's just gratifying to know at the end of THIS journey, we will have a baby in our arms. DH and I plan to visit him in January and hope he'll be home for good in the spring some time.
During the time I was on the board, I met a women here who struggled with SIF issues related to both her and her husband. After trying IVF and then suffering a m/c, this woman and her DH adopted a little girl from China and were over the moon with joy. Well...she unexpectedly conceived a child naturally after doctors told her they had about a 5% chance of conceiving on their own. I write this b/c it shows that miracles are possible...so keep hope alive!
Baby dust galore to all of you.
(And if any other board graduates read this, let us know how you are doing!)
