If this is AF it will be the shortest cycle I have ever had in my life??? I am 11-12 dpo I am spotting or at least I think it is spotting? What is the difference between spotting and light af?

If you O early, AF will come sooner. Your LP stays the same. I've always heard CD1 is the first day of bright red flow. How long is your LP usually?

I second the PP....if you ovulate earlier, AF will come sooner, if you ovulate later, it'll come later. Ovulation can be very unpredictable at time which is why most charts will advise you not to souly rely on that as a method of figuring it out. The reason the egg drops earlier than usual or later is something no one can predict. In any case, CD1 is considered to be the first day of an actual flow...filling at least a pad or tampon. There are a lot of women on our board that have spotting before AF....hopefully they can tell you when they start counting at CD1.

I usually spot pre-af & spot with high temps. Could be a couple of days or just one...some can spot longer. The best explanation I've heard to differentiate the two is it's af when blood drips into the toilet vs spot which is usually just when you wipe or a bit on your panties. I have short cycles -anywhere from 22-25 days. Mother nature is unpredictable...af can show up early or late, basically whenever she freaking wants. She's gotta keep us on our toes ;)
