should I see a doctor?

Hi ladies,

So I hadn't ovulated for at least 1 cycle and my doctor made me do bloodwork. During the test it appeared like I had a LH surge (66 miU) that day (10days ago). I BDd the day after the 'surge' and the day before.

I have had this almost constant pain in my left ovary area for the past week or so. It's not like O pain or menstrual cramp. It's bearable, but I am very aware of it. Should I just wait until AF (or very unlikely BFP)? I don't want to seem like a crybaby, but I can't stop thinking that it could be an ectopic pregnancy or something like that. How long should I wait?

It could also just be a cyst.

My doc didn't seem to think they were an issue, said they were common and just go away.

If the pain isn't bad, I'd wait.

If it's ovulation related, there's not much to do but wait.

If it's early pregnancy, you could try a home test soon.

If it's a cyst, there's not much to do. I've had a few. My doctor says not to worry about they unless they last more than one cycle. My sister gets them frequently, and they alwasy go away with her period.

My best friend get pregnant and a large cyst at the same time. I know another woman, 4 months pregnant with 3 cysts. To the best of my knowledge, cysts don't do damage and don't stop pregnancy, they just hurt. (I know PCOS is different, but if you don't have a history then I wouldn't worry about that.)

The only time I've had pain like that, and it turn out to be a bad thing, was when we lost a pregnancy. And the pain didn't show up right away, it was around the 6 week mark. You're too early in your cycle for something like that to be happening. If it were a miscarriage or ectopic, you'd have to be far enough along to for your body to feel the embryo. If you're really worried about it, take a home test. You'd get a positive earlier than you'd feel an ectopic.

Relax, and see what happens over the next few days or weeks. Doesn't sound like anything bad is happening.
