AF is here! CD1 for anyone? Question too!

Ok, so she finally showed after about a 50 day long cycle! I never thought I'd ever say I was excited to see her, but since we are getting back on the TTC horse, and not just going with the flow right now (we took a very long break of actively TTC due to emotional issues, as we have been trying for 6 plus years to conceive our 2nd child), she needed to get here ASAP! So now she is here, and I'm going to start my charting. Now does anyone know if I should take my temps starting with CD1 or should I wait, it's been a long time since I've temped and I don't remember to be honest? Thanks!

So nobody knows? Well I started temping with CD1 anyway, figured it was better to get back in the habit of it, then not, even if I don't need the temps while I'm on AF.

I do have to say though, and this isn't directed at anyone in particular, that I'm really disappointed with how slow this board is... I posted a question 3 days ago, and no one answered it. There are others that have tons of answers, maybe it's because I'm newer here, I don't know. Definitely not the iVillage that I remember when I was in the EC for my daughter in 2003. Just sad... :( Was hoping that it would be the support that I was looking for..

Thanks! Yeah it's a little disheartening, but I know it's not personal. I've noticed that my temps are really weird on AF so I'm not sure if I should test during AF. Thanks for your input!

Hi! I am Lisa, ttc #4 on month 9 (gonna be 10 soon)
Sorry you didn't get a response! It definitely isn't personal, I have noticed the same thing when I post. I think that people are still getting used to the new format and are sticking to their own folders and not looking elsewhere (for example if they are in the 2ww,they don't look at the AF folder) I personally am suffering from my last two days of the 1ww (I don't test before AF) so I tend to avoid the board entirely for the last five days of my cycle so that I don't drive myself nuts with IPS and obsessing!

As for the answer to your question, if you are just starting temping, you can temp during AF more as practice and to get an idea of your AF temps, but the really important temps are the day after AF leaves till O. I have been temping for a couple of months this time, but i also did it with my last baby as well. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info Lisa! Yeah I went ahead and temped through AF, and there were some really crazy temps during that time... now that AF is gone, they are a lot more even and only varying a tenth of a degree or two. We have been TTC our 2nd child for 6+ years, and I hadn't temped in quite awhile as we had been taking a break due to emotional issues. Thanks for the input!
