Batteries to our Thermometers? Ideas??

First off im annoyed big time becuz i cant find a battery to my thermomter! The battery died right before i was due to o, and so now i have not any idea when i o'ed or if i did and so forth!!! So im sure this month is out again which kinda in a way i dont mind for two different reasons... First my dd's jerky father's bday is in sept and i sure dont want me and my bf's childs birthday to be in the same month as him, and two my parents! I had the worst thing i think happen to me a few days back!!! Well me and my bf are of course not married yet, but having been living together for almost a year and lived together for the most part of 4 years. Anyways we dont have any children together yet and really want one to join us together and give my dd a sibling. Well my parents came to stay at my house for new years eve cuz they didnt get a certain channel that the football game came on they wanted to see. I went to my friends house for new years eve and stayed the nite there, and before i fell asleep at 4am i remembered something absolutely awful!!!!!! I had left my notebook out that i have my paper temping chart on wide open, GULP!! I about died thinking that they had seen much less the fact that we were trying to get pregnant, but the days we had "Intercourse"!! My parents dont believe no matter what age we are in that an unmarried couple live together, but if they do should not have sex till they are married. Even though im obviously not a virgin lol. I have tried to respect their ideas and when they ask where he slept i always said he stayed on the couch and we didnt do none of that stuff. I mean who goes admitting to their parents that they are having sex and trying to make a baby? Anyways well the reaction i assumed i was going to get was exactly what i got, first i didnt get spoke to for a day and then a huge lecture from my dad. It has been almost 5 days and i still havent spoken to my mom who was the maddest. Ughh it totally sux to let your parents down, but im going 27 years old and its a new day where divorce is huge. Though i think me and bf are going to make the major leap and possibly get married here in 2009! If it was you what would you say to your mom to make this whole thing go away, i feel like burying my head in the sand im so embarrassed lol!!! O and back to the beginning of the post, where can i get a battery for my thermomter so i can start temping at least by the time af arrives??????

Oh my gosh, that sucks. Anyway as to the battery, when mine died I just bought a new thermometer. I couldn't find the right battery and the new thermometer was only like $10.

Wal-Mart sells batteries for the digital thermometers, but it's cheaper just to get a new one.

As far as your parents go, I honestly wouldn't worry too much. They may not approve of your lifestyle, but

Thank you all so very much for the words of encouragement! I have to say it was a very hard day, but as you all said it will blow over. I talked to my mom today for the first time and it wasnt near as bad as i thought! She had a few questions, but nothing too terrible. The only one that kinda hurt was she asked me if i was pregnant and i had to tell her no. How i wish the answer would have been yes mom ur going to be a nana again lol!!! O well i guess one day God willing! Anyways this totally sux big time about having to buy a new one when it works just fine! I dont understand why they dont sell the right size batteries for our kind of thermometer or the kind u use for regular fevers... I was told to check at the jewelry section cuz maybe the watch batteries are the same size. I still have to go check that idea and see if it a idea that actually may work.

Hey thanks for letting us know where we could get the batteries!!! I was just telling DH the other day that I needed to get a new battery!!! I hope that this month works out for you after this big fiasco. I am glad that your parents are starting to come around and I really agree with PP that it was probably better for them to find out now and have the time to get used to the idea than to have it just sprung on them! GL and Baby dust to you!
